  1. I realised the other day how easy it is to pop one of those standard u bolt padlocks, had too go buy new locks.
  2. Sounds awesome, I met a woman at a mates house the other day whos husband is also a fellow hubber, he may join us as well. This sounds like it could be a great day out.
  3. That would be awesome if you could help, I'm riding these bad boys at the moment, maybe we can get the Cpt in on the action, or is he already going along to Jonkers? Possibly get some other hubbers in on the action?
  4. Yeah, I'm definitley keen for Jonkers again, it was awesome there when I rode last Xmas holiday. Maybe you could help me out with my suspension and tyre setup then.
  5. That suck, hope she and the cyclist were OK?
  6. Been riding Tokai, Contermans, Meerendal and Hillcrest.
  7. I've been riding mostly by myself, to get my fitness back up, so once I am where I want to be fitness wise then I will hook up with guys. Just battling at the moment with getting the time being in a new job. So during the week it's only been road training.
  8. Since moving to Cape Town and having ridden a fair amount over the holiday period on both my 26" hardtail & dual suspension bikes( and yes I enjoy riding the 26" bikes so it's not down to not having a 29" bike), I feel that my mountain biking has gone a bit backwards, my technical ability is seriously lacking at the moment. I'm not sure if it's having had the pleasure of riding the plush trails in KZN, but with the trail conditions the way they are in Cape Town and surrounding areas I'm not a happy bunny on the bike at the moment. Could it be down to my setup and tyre pressures? Is it down to the fact that I'm not used to the trail conditions, or that the trails are also all pretty new to me. It's driving me nuts, please help.
  9. Thanks for the reply. Will have to agree to this, my 26" hardtail makes for a very bumpy ride now that I'm living in Kaapstad.
  10. Good post, but why don't you build the bikes up yourselves?
  11. That almost exactly where I live, I saw a person lying on the road on Sunday morning, covered with a blanket, was not sure what was going on there. They were lying there for ages with two cars stopped next to them. RIP, sorry to hear that.
  12. Just finished watching Weeds, and now started Californication, then Entourage will ne next, got no more DSTV and no expensive bicycles at my house, I'm so poor
  13. Me too, where can I get me some of that?
  14. They are probably watching the hub as we speak
  15. Still on the ciggies, dagnammit, although have cut down a lot again, the day is coming again soon, very soon
  16. Sorry to hear, hope it gets better
  17. My point exactly, lol. It was a good ride though, was slow going , as I need to get used to the trail conditions and know where I'm going. My technical riding has gone for a pile of poop. I must say we are spoilt in KZN
  18. Can I join you if possible, need to find my way around Tokai, the signage drives me nuts
  19. It was closed yesterday, where you riding there at all yesterday around 11am?

  23. I was discussing this very topic today with my wife when we were sitting on top Lions Head(my first time), hectic, sorry to hear about this. Will definitely need a guide/ buddy when I go. @Meezo, you seem to be the man in the know, fancy taking a CT newbie for a ride around the mountain sometime?
