Same here thank goodness I ended with the main group in % so got a VB seeding. Friend of mine ended 3 minutes back and got B.

Reminds me of a funny story a friend of mine gets another friend to get him some mtb tyres from Cape Town. So he gets the tyres but is having a real hard time getting them on the rim. So he goes to another friend of mine down the road Deon Malherbe of Eselfontein to help him put them on. Well Deon takes one look at them and says you never going to get a 26inch tyre on a 29er rim.

I think they changed everything this year because what happened last year. They split the vets and the sub vets and the vets weren't strong enough and got caught by A in Muizenberg. Now let me tell you that wasn't fun had to unclip and stop twice just after Simons Town. So the groups will probably be the same size so a lot of the A and vets and sub vets will now move down into B and C. So all that has happened is B is the new A.

Got VB again this year but I broke my collar bone 6 weeks ago only been on the bike again for two weeks. Still bit sore but I should be ok for the argus just worried about the start time maybe I will go down to C or B.

You probably right I think I am just one of those guys that is too competitive I try to win at all costs. Didn't listen to my mother that told me its ok to lose it builds character. Fortunately I didn't like kissing my sister so I hated draws too. I guess some SA people are just happy for the draw because they are so scared of what if we lost. I am from Cape Town and there are two guys we loved to hate one was Naas Botha and the other was Clive Rice these guys played to win. Read Clives views on News24 here is one line from it. Got to agree Snytjie, everyone remembers the 438 odi but who is going to remember this game even if we lost it. How can you not go for the record? Sorry to say this is one of the reasons I think SA will never win the world cup, no killer instinct. There is no way the Aussies would have gone for the draw. I think this decision was the coaches, probably got a win lose clause in his contract.

The selection is the main problem these guys don't know if they will be playing the next game. Look at the team of the late 90s that was number one in world I can almost name that team. Kirsten, Gibbs or Hudson, Cronje, Rhodes, Mcmillan, Klusner, Boucher or Richardson, Symcox, Matthews, Fanie and Donald. Most of this team played every game and we won most of our games even with Hansie throwing them.(ok no World Cup) I can't remember who played a few days ago at Newlands.
