  1. Send him the local police address and let him arrange a courier. A nice waste of time and money for a low life.
  2. Just wondering is you can adjust the travel on a Öhlins RXF34 fork? I'm looking for a 130 / 140 Trail fork and seen a Öhlins RXF34 that is a 120. I know they do a 130 in this model and wondered if it essentially the same and you could just swap out some internals like a you can in a Pike. Hoping that @droo or some one with knowledge of the bouncy bits can give some advice. Side note: if anyone has a non boost Pike / Yari / Mattoc / Ribbon or similar in 130 or 140mm that they want to get rid of then please give me a shout.
  3. That's what Aramex Global Shopper is there for. I don't think I've ever told anyone I'm down in Cape Town. To be honest if I was just a guy selling some stuff and someone said 'hey I'm in Africa, can I buy your gear and then make you ship it all the way down here' I'd freak out it was a scam and / or flick it off because no one wants to end up trying to work out shipping to the next town let alone all the way down to a country which they pretty much only think of once in a blue moon and then only about Mandela, safaris, Greg M and occasionally the Boks. 😀 See it, buy it, get it shipped to UK address of Aramex and wait.
  4. Bought a few frames before off Ebay and PB. Obviously with Ebay you get the protection factor. I've never had a bad experience but I alway do some research and have good chat to the seller to look for red flags. Shipping and taxes all vary on size and weight but I've never had an experience where I've freaked out. Usually it's about R2k all in from memory but don't quote me on that.
  5. +1 for Hub Pay or go the simple rule of "payment before and collection only when the money reflects into my account and cleared by my bank". Has to be said with the exchange rate heading toward the R25 / £1 I've seen alot more companies advertising for SA based workers on UK projects and paying very little in £. Not sure if you'd get many UK buyers of kit from down here, our market is still pretty expensive compared to the UK second hand market and then there is shipping cost. What is it you're selling?
  6. Thanks Ebay! Just threw a cheeky offer (I's actually say bordering on the helluva cheeky) on this 2017 Tranny Smuggler that got excepted. • Full invisi-taped • -1 degree headset • one lady owner (apparently) • 75.5 degrees seat angle • 67.5 standard HA / 66.5 with headset • 115mm of trail crushing bounce at the back and a 140mm fork waiting to be fitted. Now looking for a CC il Coil that will fit as that could be alot of fun!
  7. Also, and not that I've ever done it, you inform them of the value of the item you are shipping (just ask the shop you're buying off to keep the invoice out of the box). So, you could, if you were that way inclined, to have a second hand evil frame bought off pink bike and that said frame could be, ahem, 'worth' £395. That is what all the import charges will be based on. Not that I would advise that. Or have ever done it.
  8. Does anyone bring in Charge Saddles at all? I'm looking for a Tan coloured Spoon model. They are on special at Tredz in the UK but I thought it would be good to support local first.
  9. I'd missed that. Haven't been down to see the boys for a bit so this makes a good excuse to arm with a couple of beers and go chew the fat. Cheers for that. I've been looking for 2.8 Minions but they are hens teeth. Oh, and I hate Minions! 🤣
  10. That is a shame... they are the only ones who seem to stock WTB Trailboss and Bridger in 3.0 for some aggressive Plus tyre joy.
  11. Just wondering if anyone has used https://otiumonline.co.za/ at all for anything? Looking to get some tyres from them but the site does look very basic and doesn't have that much info on the company.
  12. I’m just on the cusp for height to be honest but looks super fun so just decided to go for it and hope the larger size added longer reach.
  13. I’ve had a couple of pairs of Leatt and they haven’t done well at all. Had lot of da kind which used to be good but quality has slipped as well. The o wa that have really stood up have been giro’s and one industry. I never really thought of giro gloves for Mtb but dang they are good. Not the coolest in high summer but then I’m not either.
  14. Out goes the Niner MCR9 Gravel build and in comes the frankly awesome Shand Shug steel Hardtail from Scotland (via PTA) with 853 main triangle and custom italian Dedacciai rear triangle. • 130mm travel • 64 degree head angle • Ability to run as 29x2.6 or 27.5x3 plus sized love Wider bars, shorter stem and some Sam Hill flats are going on tomorrow and Tokai time on Wednesday! Sell the 170mm enduro rig on Thursday. 😝 Thanks goes out to @1x1 for being a legend, a great deal and getting down to CT.
  15. Very, very nice. I've just pretty much done the same thing but am running 29 & 2.6 but am on the lookout for some nice wide 27.5 wheels and some phat plus rubber. What are the specs on these wheels?
  16. I just paid R850 for a two day service from PTA to CT
  17. Thanks so much, I've ditched my old card unfortunately so that is a blow.
  18. Does anyone know if the guys at Uitsig are still facilitating? Thanks.
  19. Sorry guys if I'm missing the obvious (and I have searched) but has anyone got the link to a thread where you can connect with other people looking for a multi person TMNP Activity Permit and get the discount? Cheers.
  20. You're a classic. Pretty agro in your posts in the first place and now 'There's only 2 people that scares me ones my wife and the other is not you". Why on earth would I want to 'scare you', you aren't even a blip on my day buddy. You need some perspective. If you had any nuance then you could have seen past your ego and seen that last comment wasn't aimed at your thin skin.
  21. 😆 There is a certain level of irony in that comment here on le hub that is not lost.
