  1. We normally ride in a small group (2-5) people. That said, I do ride alone some mornings, but that would be in familiar spots like GSpot/Helderberg. I will also never do any new features when I am alone, stick to what I know is low risk.
  2. Yip, and as far as I know the new permits for 2024 should be available in the next week or two. Home | Wine Lands Trails
  3. Breakfast of champions. Ate some humble pie and a bit of rock this morning
  4. That is a beautifull colour! Many happy miles.
  5. I have a Bontrager ION Elite R (1000 Lumens), it's the bees knees.
  6. I have one of those yellow seats that go on the top tube. Both my daughters loved riding there until they transitioned to their own bikes. You can do semi decent trails with the kids between your arms like that. Remember going up Helderberg and slowly down the single track when they where still super small.
  7. +1 for Burgtec lock-ons Use to have ESI grips, but they're terrible when they get wet
  8. wow, that is an awesome pic
  9. Moody day at Jonkers
  10. Some GSpot laps. Finally completed my ST->LT conversion. Running 140/150 and will soon bump the Ribbon Coil to 160. Thanks to @Klondike for a smooth transaction on my "new" FloatX2
  11. @Meezo it was amazing. Nothing like we ride in Cape Town. The rock gardens on stage 3 and 6 was hectic doing it blind. Didn't fall during the race, so super happy. Trails were epic and will 100% be back next year. Just work in some practice before the next one 🤣 @Christofison thanks for an epic day out.
  12. That coil looks lekker!
  13. New wheels day. Looking forward to Witfontein this weekend. Lyne AMP HD 👌
  14. oooh course previews and new wheels day...what a Friday it is.
  15. Nice one Henning! Just an FYI, the R1800 pass gives you access to way more than just Helderberg and surrounds. It includes some trails in Paarl, Wellington, Boschendal, Banhoek, Bottelary, Oak Valley, Jonkershoek and more. Many happy miles and have fun!
  16. nothing like starting a Saturday with a ride at Jonkers
  17. I was thinking the same. I was really looking forward to this and bummed it's cancelled, but maybe we can get a few guys that were planning on going and just have a fun Sunday morning ride?
  18. Cool, will see if I can get time to check it out before the race. Thanks.
  19. Anything to watch out for, or just point and shoot?
  20. OK, so now I just hope I won't die. Never ridden there before, so will be going blind as a bat.
  21. Of course I'll case it when the video is rolling. This thing has been stuck in my head for so long. Today we fought the fragile mind 🤣 9b4b9aa1-18a4-4237-8508-db848a065003.mp4
  22. This view doesn't get old.
  23. Any idea when entries will open for this?
  24. N00b question, but are those extra sokkies comfortable? Cycling shoes are a snug fit to start with.
