  1. Just note that the heel down/toe down is only for when you're in the air. Definitely both heels down when going through the bumpy stuff. Glad you're having fun!
  2. Did the DH line into Bafana at Lourensford with the Hanger Birthday ride yesterday. So much fun.
  3. I have a pair of OneUp Composite pedals (5mm pins) and a pair of 2FO shoes. Really nice combo.
  4. Have they announced a new date or only at a later stage?
  5. Thanks, they are going to sort me out.
  6. So long term review of the Cura's...they have started to leak, but after 3 years I guess that is expected. So on that note...does anyone know where I can find a service kit for these brakes? Only one needed for the rear caliper, FD94165-CU
  7. Shoprides are getting shorter and shorter.
  8. Also rode there last week. There seems to have been a few guys doing a recce run We rode Phoenix, DH and Iron Monkey, wanted to do a full enduro run, but we ran out of time.
  9. Hi there, the people at the Hellsend bikeshop has it Just give them a call and collect
  10. This is going to be epic...Need to start working on those climbing legs. A full day out at Jonkers is hard work!
  11. Where are you seeing the video for the lines? I am also keen to join. Something about a event that just makes me excited, regardless of the level of the trails. That said, looking forward to the other events later in the year!
  12. According to their Insta, 1st round will be at Rhebokskloof https://www.instagram.com/p/Cn6NN0mK5Fs/
  13. Great news that the 1st one has moved, now I'll be able to attend all the races this year!
  14. Seems like its luck of the draw with them. My wife bought me some Leatt MTB Goggles for Christmas. Looking at the email trail, her emails where answered within an hour each time. They didn't have the colour way I wanted, but said they had the black/white one. We replied stating the black one at 9PM, the following morning at 9:10AM the quote was finalised and payment made. Received the package well before Christmas. Seems that she was dealing with Wayne
  15. urgh, seems to be giving issues again. Just tried to purchase my permit:
  16. Thanks. Got in touch with someone that knows someone that should be able to get the site back up and running. Hopefully be sorted later in the week.
  17. Has anyone successfully bought one of these regional permits online? You start off at the winelandstrails.com website, but when you try and purchase a Regional Permit, it takes you to https://wcc.alumnet.co.za/shop and the page just never loads?
  18. wow, where is that?
  19. nice, love that colour!
  20. oh man, that is terrible. RIP.
  21. I can also vouch for the Cura's. Came from SLX's and the Cura's are awesome brakes. Great feel, great stopping power and even better value for money
  22. It wasn't that wet there tbh. But then again I was concentrating on keeping all my teeth, it could have been hailing and I would probably have missed it ????
  23. Went to Jonkers yesterday with a few friends and thanks to Grease_Monkey and CoenieVD who showed me the lines and towed me into the features, I rode Status 2 and 3 and Plumber 1. AWESOME day out, felt like a pro when I drove home XD
  24. yeah, I had the Tektro's on mine. It was the first batch of the new frame, bought in August 2018
  25. I have to agree with this. The standard brakes on this is terrible. I have a XL Stumpy, and I love my bike, but I have since upgraded the brakes, fork and just recently the shock. Had some issues with the shock leaking, but this is apparently a known issue of the XFusion and Stumpy frame. RBC sorted it out for free under warranty. All said and done, if you ask me to buy a bike again...I would probably go for the ST again
