  1. Got it for between 7k and 8k delivered with a few extra small bits and pieces.
  2. My main love for this bike comes from how well it rolls and how easily it switches from a fast descent section onto a technical climb. Really does climb extremely well on open roads as well as tight technical stuff. This obviously has a lot to do with the wheel size as well but I think the frame handles everything I throw at it really well. I would like to take it out and bash some more serious drop offs but then again that is not really what I built it for and use my 120mm Stevens for that. My average speeds (on the same trails) have gone up by almost 4 km / h. I am a lot fitter but still the bike makes it easy. It really gives confidence straight away.
  3. Hi Mario The bike is holding up really well. Nice and stiff and very responsive in turns. I've not yet bottomed it out and it really does not seem like an issue especially since I am using it mainly as a XC bike. I think if you want to do more trail riding you will need to go for something else. However I have had it on serious single track and some smaller drop offs at speed and have not had any problems whatsoever.
  4. Loaded it in IE and when I went back to Chrome it now works....Not for long though. Anyways will play around a bit.
  5. Hi Guys not really a rant just wanted to know if anyone else has an issue with images that are not always (most of the time now) loading on the site? I am running Win8.1 and it's been since I got the new laptop with that on that the issue started. I am running Google Chrome latest version with exact same settings as before on my Win7 laptop.
  6. Yip, been testing for a loooong time even when they made the comments...
  7. I stay in Waverley so please keep me updated too!
  8. http://www.gizmag.com/3d-printed-titanium-bicycle-frame/30760/?utm_source=Gizmag+Subscribers&utm_campaign=90643ef566-UA-2235360-4&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_65b67362bd-90643ef566-89998078 Looks pretty cool actually!
  9. Not if you're still stuck in Centurion. Traffic is hectic. You guys n gals enjoy!!
  10. What everyone else said.... I lost two bikes' weight in the last 9 months and have not felt faster and better on the bike ever. I did reward myself with a sub 11kg 650B but if I want to break 10kg it will probably cost me at least another 10K so really not worth it. If you have extra weight to shed rather do that. You will feel better about yourself and be a much better cyclist!
  11. I hear you, its more about the way they (and others) measure it. There are just too many variables to make it close to reliable.
  12. Apologies for calling you a "dude" whatever you are ...
  13. And whoever can't spell .... selfie.... eish slefie what is that
  14. Apologies then Also a bit of a difference then cause of gender. Wish I had the time to do that on the bike but yeah well done.
  15. No dude... Ok absolutely no disrespect or anything bad meant, but do you look a bit like a plank then?
  16. I disagree, I haven't stopped trying to be nice. They do become easier to slap however....
  17. It's cause you're a Stormers supporter
  18. Eish not what I meant, I meant I grew up on a farm in the karoo with hard physical work so my muscle ratio was always higher than your average playstation strangling kid Also have always been very involved with sport.. Oh and not even a trained tog can take good pics of me so a selfie was a very brave thing for me to attempt ... I went straight to the shower and cried for hours afterwards....
  19. I think it was more a case of he could not get that extra points to make it to gold because of his BMI (sorry correct me if I'm wrong) I also got to gold fairly easy actually almost making double the required points last year with a "Overweight - Obese" BMI. So yes they can go jump!! Bloody agents
  20. Cool stuff I'd rather do that. I don't need the easy points that much as I am more than active enough but just for myself I think such a measurement might be pretty cool!! Thanks!
  21. Oh and the miserable attempt at Movember.....
  22. BWAHAHAHAAHAA eish only us Van's hey!!!
  23. Yeah no that is actually why I have started this thread because I want to go for my annual Vitality assessment but in that they use BMI and waist circ. It's just really inaccurate unless I think I am skinny now and in fact I am still dik I had my body measured at a Virgin about 3 weeks ago and agree that that is a much more accurate indicator.
  24. I cannot understand why companies such as discovery still utlises the normal weight vs. heigh BMI measurements to see whether you are in shape or not? Maybe one of you can put shed more light on this for me. I am 1.8m tall and weigh 86kg at the moment (I am still going down) but even now people are starting to tell me to seriously stop now as I am starting to look funny. Even if I go down to 80 kg I will still be classed as overweight!! I have always been quite muscular and therefore I feel that it is a bull**** way of measuring and they should wake the f up. Maybe I'm clueless but please tell me why and how and I will gladly accept my "overweight" status!!!! Attached pic is of me in November 2013 I have since lost another+-3 kg still classed as fat....
