  1. Option Y: R59 right down till you hit R64 then to Kimberley (not sure about road condition now, but used to be OK and relatively quite - almost no shoulder). - Kimberly N12 all the way to Victoria west. (trucks not to bad on that stretch). Then you have options to continue to N1, 3 sisters, and onward via N1, that stretch till lainsburg is nerve recking. BUT big yellow lane and if not on a weekend sometimes quite. Option Q: Divert from Victoriawest to Loxton -via fraserburg to sutherland (this is gravel). Option Z: Divert from N12 at Briststown to vosburg and carnavon (tarred last i heard used to be gravel) and head via calvinia and N7. (from Calvinia you will have some mining trucks, yes they are now trucking the stuff from the kalahari to saldanha and some container trucks if its grape harvest season - not as heavy traffic as N1) at Clanwillian you sho left to lambertsbay and head back via the extended west coast road all the way to capetown via elandsbay, veldrift. Option R: R59 right down till you hit R64 then to bloem, petrusbug, koffiefontein, luckhoff, petrusville, philipstown, deaar. britstown. (i used to do this 3 times a year with the car, not sure about road conditions now days, but its a quite roads - limited to no shoulder)

for me the buffering, disconnect and constant frame dropping from visible excellent quality to absolute rubbish happens on my Droid tabled, mibox, but when i stream via Browser on PC no issues. so its defn something to do with the mobile platforms. for once Windows win!!
  3. Hi ChrisF Is there GPX files available for the routes, i see from the downloads its only kmz which i think is some sort of google file thinge that doesnt work with strava or garmin. Thanks
  4. Hi Chris XC slicks of trail tyres? shot
  5. thanks DC team OPI for doing all the work in group CL in that wind today. I wish i could contribute, but was just hanging on and shamelessly wheel sucking (at least i didn't have legs left to go for the sprint😀). pity about your punctures at the prison. my legs came off after the last water stop and seeing the temp rise by 1 deg for every 7 minutes of climbing topping out at 44.7 was emotional and physically draining. 🥵 working on the concept of linear regression im sure it would have been 50 at the top!! had to conserve my water to cool the body as the steam just rises when you squirt it over your body. crazy
  6. agreed, if i hear ewallat then i default to scammer. why dont you want money to be tracible..
  7. correction - place that requires a have hydration pack. no riding in December without one, trust me, unless you want to take the lottery of filling up from a water crib where the sheep drink from.
  8. on a road tubeless tire yes. best to replace, but on MTB as long as it does squirt gooi mielies with the plug. never ever replaced a mtb tyre that was plugged. The seller could have indicated to OP that the front tire was plugged though before hand.
  9. inflation is nothing more than corporate greet it seems and everyone is using an excuse to jump on it. besides all the good things CL have done for me.. this one did not go down well.
  10. back to bikes - overprising...heres your answer.
  11. Since it seems like WW is being targeted for having cheaper items than the PnP, barring their fresh produce and prepacked meals which is more expensive, but lasts a lot longer. i worked in a bread factory in cpt, same production line yes, but different ingredients and when you came in the morning and that place looked like a lab where they where conducting nuclear experiments, then you knew WW was coming to audit - which they did regularly. non of the others ever came.
  12. had a whobble on a crossking 2 from day 1. thought it was the wheel, trued that still whobbled accepted it and rode it till it was time to replace. the whobble wasnt noticed on the trail when riding only when i look at it and spin the wheel.
  13. I dont mind to pay for a service if it takes the adds out. cause then it makes sense. BUT DSTV which is pay TV by definition is also advertising now like crazy. But i hope this add crazy commodity nightmare will oneday end. all i wish for is show me a different add, if i havnt bought or clicked on the same add for the last 4 months, then please show me something different, im tired of unsold SUV's in durbanville or 40+ singles waiting for you. ive done that now please move to the next.
  14. not just biogen, some other well respected brands as well. i stopped using those when all was underweight as a stupid test i did. - he wena you are ripping me off here ek se.
  15. was also expecting XX1 on the back, but if GX is good enough for bears then i suppose GX-1n is probably still overpowered for me.....
  16. To the OP. I was in the same boat a fried does the DH stuff and convinced me to do the light version. 3 stages the easy ones at the last cotters. I did get the arm and knee guards but not the full face and put on some beefier rubber, but like a ardent 2.4 and 2.35 race at the back. There are B Lines at the technical places which is ridable on the light enduro. i did it on my standard 100mm bike. you go as fast as your skill allow. It was the best fun i had on my mtb in a looong time. It was a blast and the cameraderie was awsome for us noobs. Did i jump, mm no, did i ride places where i never would mmmm yes, did it was scary and lekker at the same time. do the short version the first time and go and walk/ride it the day before. My skill improved more in 2 days than 2 years of riding. It does help when you have a friend that can show you the speed and safe lines to go down. you will have a blast!! there where also kids on their grand pa's no suspension bikes and every one had a jol. JUST DONT PITCH IN FULL LYCRA!! you will be chirpt the whole day, but in lightharted fasion
  17. *when paired with your bluetooth smart phone and running the spez app. its nothing more than a accelerometer with bluetooth. still cool though, would be next level if it had a simcard and could function in its own, for when you dont have a fone
  18. roadbike:GolfGti dualsus:doublecab bakkie hardtail:singlecab bakkie gravelbike:np200 nissan diesel, light nimble and can hammer a gravel road in good nick
  19. i must admit though when out on the roadi on this horible ex tar pavement, ive been very envious of those bikes that simply ride next to the road out of harms way. that being said, when the din wiel is replaced it would be for that purpose.
  20. dual sus with a drop bar ????. sinkplaat amd rigit fork hmmm thats a no for me. a short section of sinkplaat is fine, but 50km of it not so much unless you like your joints nice an loose after????
  21. Hectic, i wil have to rethink taking my mtb for the long weekend. hope youre unhurt. now even the west coast isnt safe anymore
  22. bit of a hit and miss for me somedays perfectly synced loaded, otherdays no power to screen but all is connected. then close pc app, reopen power works, or it stuck at loading....when that happens i usually just call it a day. happens most in the evenings. i have done the whole internet router isp tests and checks. my biggist issue is that it is not consitantly working abd that frustrates me think their servers cant cope with the load or people. but it is a very relistic and feels more solid than the arcade style thats so popular.

  24. aah, i forgot to add. make your profit its a business afterall, but be realistic for the less fortunate okes. also the price demand always plays out in favour of high prices, if the demand drops then you will hear the price is high because we dont ship a lot as we used to. appart from components my peevf hate is that a bicycle tyre cost more than my family car sedan replacement yokies
