  1. From tomorrow (Sat, Nov 22) at sunrise.
  2. Thanks Andrew, Ali and Geoff. Had fun, especially on the drop-offs! Both my sons came along to ride, the older one (11) had a ball and the little one (almost 3) had a fall... But on the way there it was like Christmas morning with the all excitement in the car! Taking a family membership asap! Wishing you every success with the Bike Park!
  3. This arrest was made by Sandton SAPS so contact them. Well done SAPS!
  4. Matthew Kimble = super-skilled!
  5. When are they laying the tar, Chucky? Assume the ground has settled pretty well after all the recent rain.
  6. Ah, Naval Hill. A vomit-limit memory from my army days as a junior roadie at OFS Command.
  7. And justified! That Shova ST is one sweet bike. Ridden a couple now and love them!
  8. Dodgy article this. Seems like it was written by a non-cycling journo cos there are plenty of errors. Just because it was published somewhere, doesn't make it factually correct.
  9. Man, that kit is hip...
  10. Doesn't Absa sponsor a lot of sport in SA? Like a heck of a lot of sport? Would think they'd encourage employees to show an interest in sport too. Obviously within reason. One of the best things about working for yourself is that you don't have any flippen rules to abide by! Ah, it's stopped raining, think I'll go for a ride now...
  11. Glad you added that. Only some riders can wear white kit and look good.
  12. I'm not a girl, but my wife is (duh) and she's very happy with the Selle Italia Lady Gel Flow on her road and MTB. Specialized also make good women's saddles. Sean Badenhorst2008-11-06 13:19:38
  13. Sigh. Has she not heard of the aero tuck position?
  14. The problems you experienced on your ride. Don't try blame the shop. Put it down to experience. Next time you'll not have the same delay or frustration cos you'll have learned from this - like all of us did at some point.
  15. That's your own fault, not the shop's.
  16. True story: I met a former top German mountain bike racer, Mike Kluge, in Cape Town 10 years ago. I think he won the World Cup overall title in the mid-90s. He started or became a co-owner of Focus bikes while still racing. Somehow, through some or other German law, he was able to get paid royalties by Ford to use the Focus name when they launched their Focus model. Since it was a decade ago, I don't recall the finer details, but I just remember thinking how fortuitous ? and clever ? the guy was. He got a percentage of all Ford Focus sales in Germany and I recall him saying that it was big bucks, even though he was suspicious that Ford wasn't giving him the real sales figures!
  17. February in Oudtshoorn ? You'd better ride with two water bottles and a camelbak and some beer in your jersey pockets if you don't have a team to give you liquids. Nobody said it should be easy to earn the right to wear the white... How about those Frenchies putting 6-hour-plus mountain stages in the middle of July... Assassins!
  18. What is CSA's reason for a June date? There must be a reason they have scheduled it for June. Personally, I think track cycling should happen in winter and the road season in summer with SA's in Feb or March.
  19. Mac Maharaj is a computer!!!!!!!..... no virusses..... must be all the curry and chillies!!!!!!!! Jealousy causes confusion. Sean Badenhorst2008-10-29 09:11:37
  20. I work on Mac. Never had a virus problem in 15 years...
  21. Doubt it. It's a cycle race route announcement, not the Springbok squad...
  22. Hey mon. Put dat rat back in da keechun...
  23. Typical Ferrari Supporters response!! I'm not a Ferrari supporter, I just don't like Hamilton...
