  1. Last month: All Summer Long ? Kid Rock (takes me back to 1989!) This month: Viva la vida - Coldplay (dig the big bell chimes and celestial theme) Three (of many) perennial faves: Pressure ? Queen/David Bowie; Hotel California ? The Eagles; Parallel Universe ? Red Hot Chilli Peppers... Sean Badenhorst2008-10-21 05:35:34
  2. Ah, the humble bicycle. All the rage before cars came along. How the big wheel turns...
  3. The poor guy asks a simple question and six pages later you lot have turned it into a storm in a C-cup... Sean Badenhorst2008-10-21 04:47:41
  4. They're racing the Tour of Hong Kong Shangai in China. Their sponsor has a big presence in that part of the world.
  5. Match-fixing? Rather put that down to disorganised TV commentary preparation. A start list with all rider names and race numbers should be a basic requirement for TV commentators. Well done to Dan! aka the rider with the orange shorts Sean Badenhorst2008-10-19 01:42:35
  6. What? Are you implying that stretch and elongate mean the same thing?
  7. Thanks Johan. So then on a slope, the descender must move left, leaving the ascender freedom to continue as he/she was on the singletrack. Obviously within reason. Wonder if they move left or right of ascenders on northern hemisphere trails? Ja, the descender must move left or wait or dismount within reason. I forgot to add that the descender must also give way to pedestrians and horseback riders with the same rules applying. I think the keep left rule applies in the NH as well, I've noticed that they keep left on escalators and pavements in the US as well as in the UK. Perhaps it is the look on my face and the speed with which I keep right that they move over regardless of NH ettiquette? On the Braamfontein Spruit there are one or two areas where this rule will be very handy if all users adhere to it. There is one little blind hill just off William Nichol I think. Perhaps we need a sign there. A sign! A sign! How about Brian's sandal?
  8. I would say the descender. It's much easier for the ascender to just quickly get out of the way or stand still then the descender getting out of the way. Ah, but what if the ascender is a novice that's unable to restart or remount on a singletrack climb? Surely it's easier for the descender to continue after a possible stop or dismount?
  9. Thanks Johan. So then on a slope, the descender must move left, leaving the ascender freedom to continue as he/she was on the singletrack. Obviously within reason. Wonder if they move left or right of ascenders on northern hemisphere trails?
  10. I am sure Mavic will have a solution! you think these shirts come with serial numbers? No, but that long-sleeved one may come with it's own serial killer...
  11. KEEP LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, and which rider would then move off the singletrack, the ascender or the descender?
  12. What is it with all these high goody-bag expectations? Your entry fee is to ride a race, not get a top-class lucky packet! With closed roads, that's one of the safest races in the world, which is far more valuable than a few bite-sized Bar-Ones and a back-issue magazine...
  13. Eat a tin of baked beans and you can get the wind behind you no matter where you live...
  14. You mean a weak movement...
  15. And Big H, if that doesn't help, there's always EPO CERA ? check how it helped Ricco and Kohl's climbing...
  16. I was going to suggest mountain biking, but then I remembered you're in Angola... I reckon riding into the wind regularly is effective in improving strength, which can help with climbing but won't replace the value of training on climbs.
  17. You're making the first part up and really did wear a ladies swimming costume?
  18. A mainly male thread on who was the best Bond?? Very gay indeed. Nedrider has the right idea' date=' let's rather discuss the bond girls!!!!!!![/quote'] This statement from a male that wears white Lycra shorts and shaves his legs...
  19. Looks about right to me. He's Danish remember ? they have very pale skins. He seems to have a pale, thick skin...
  20. Tighten your chainring bolts.
