  1. Harsh reply there turtle as I have never seen MTB riders jotting down tel no's in a notepad at the start of a race. I personally never race with a phone either (weight saving ), so knowing my luck I would crash, be seriously injured, and the good Samaritan that would stop and offer help would be the one that did not have a notepad at the start of the race, or whose pencil was blunt, or who arrived late at the race!!<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> So it is actually not a bad idea come to think of it!
  2. Some people might view it as animal cruelty. I must say I have the greatest of sympathy for the poor cats!
  3. Can't believe the moral degeneration and decay happening to this once wonderful hub. First lewd avatars become common place and now Pantani as moderator!! What is the world coming to? <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> No seriously Mr Bling King, a position as moderator could not have gone to a better person. May there be moderation in your moderating coupled with an open mind to diverse and broad opinion.
  4. <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Raleigh riders are real people with feelings too. All real Raleigh riders should round up and rally against Raleigh bashing riders.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  5. Well I certainly did not crack the nod with my cycling talent! Must have been my good looks, charm, wit and 'faith' in my own abilities as a decent racing cyclist because there has certainly not been any 'evidence' to substantiate it thus far.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  6. I challenge every hubber to read the book "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins or peruse his website www.richarddawkins.net and then return to the hub and debate religion. Deal?
  7. Did Jesus get around on a bicycle or a donkey?
  8. I'm joining the thread very late but I am not going anywhere. The more whiteys that leave the country, the more money I make. The more BEE people that get inappropriately promoted, the more money I make. These are the two biggest factors in making consulting in SA and the rest of Africa a lucrative business for the whiteys who want it.
  9. Naas, its about two things, either you are a very good bike rider or you are a very poor bike rider, or both. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> So if you are a good bike rider like you obviously are, you could probably win races on any old crap. On the second point I can't say how poor you are, but rich riders will rather spend R30k on a set of wheels because they can and it makes them look good, look faster and feel faster, if nothing else. So to answer your question, if you are a rich cyclist then expensive is definitely better than cheap, but if you are a poor cyclist then cheap is definitely better than expensive. If you are a good cyclist then it does not really matter what you ride.
  10. Will do lowracer, I will also get in touch with amateur to give the donation
  11. Common hubbers, is no one gonna out bid me? In which case I will bid against myself and raise the bid to R350 which seems to be the going price for a bag of dog food.
  12. Dunno whether to start low or high so I will open the bidding at R200
  13. Forget the drawer, they will probably just want to get into the missus's knickers!!
  14. Oh my God!!, Lance on drugs, my world has been shattered!!

    Creepy!

Crappy way to go! He was probably pushing too hard or the smell was suffocating
  16. Nice choice, those Corimas look good on that bike as well.
  17. Sorry, let me elaborate a bit more. Typically you would want your b!tch to adopt said position in picture so that you have a convenient place to put your beer while watching football.
  18. On her back like you normally do!!
  19. That's pure sexist abuse, but at least she is not taking it lying down And there is even a spot to put your beer.
  20. That can only be pain and strain on those lower back muscles. And a 3:15 is phenominal. Bet he could easily do a sub 3 if there was two or more of them working together. A 109k solo time trial with your arms makes his time even more impressive!!
