    WAFFLES????

Eish So I'm sure you guys can tell I'm still quite new to the hub, maybe a month or so. Can some pLeAsE explain the waffles thing to me? hahahahahaha!
  6. How much of the 20" tube do you cut? Do you leave a bit of the tube exposed outside the tyre? I've never done this before and so far its working aces. How do you get the slime into the tyre? Before or after fitting? I'm using an old Maxxis Advantage which has an Eskom of a wire. It was crazy trying to the slim in there once the tyre was on so I left off.
  7. Hi man, where are you at? There a few LBSs in Cape Town that will match each others prices. Just steer away from bike shops in malls. They are convenient but $$$$! (I recently bought a Giant Anthem X2, and say the same bike at a shop in canal walk for R5000 more!!!!!!!)

    Shaving Legs

how long does a leg wax last? i.e. how long before the hair gorws back. Shaving the upper bit is rubbish and its just annoyingly itchy.

  18. shot okes... I've been looking at a few frames, on-one, ragley etc, but want to go old school. like as in 80s/90s old school. any help?
  19. I seem to hit a wall at 90. To lose more i have to eat like a rabbit and run or cycle like mad. The only changes I see are increase in muscle mass and drop in fat. plus my belly has shrunk a lot. so i'm stoked...
  20. I'm looking at building a SS from scratch. I'm looking at a big wheel, but also want to use it off road, Jeep track vibe, no single track! I've looked at a few road frames but the tyre profiles are almost all too narrow. What kind of frame will hold a wider-then-a-road-bike tyre but is still "big" (700c/29") ? ANY wisdom out there?
  21. Hi Harry I am currently training for a 4 day stage race at the end of this year and am currently riding about 8hours a week. I am available from 5pm weekdays and on weekends, I'm a chemical engineer so I have some idea of lab procedures and will pick up what I do not know and what I need to know fairly quickly, and also 25 years old and live in Cape Town. I'd like to take part in the survey. I dig being a guinea pig. Please let me know.
  22. Hi The email address doesn't work.
  23. I was at life-cycle on Wednesday and found out that it is open to MTBs too. I'm strongly considering giving the racing a skip this weekend; I have done back to back races the past 2 weekends, and want to do some less intensive riding, but I might be persuaded otherwise late on Friday night. Good luck man!
  24. True! I was trying to get the speed camera on Kloof road to go off last week and just as I passed it I saw these little bumps in the road. Jo it was rough. 60+kph and I think for a full minute my heart rate monitor read 0bpm... The cycle lane carries on all the way into town, just passed Porter's Auto, but it is about 2km longer then cutting through the harbour... That section where the bus-route dips under the N1 is where all those okes "camp". I'm planning on doing the block-house and back on saturday morning if you are keen to join. I need someone to slipstream.
  25. The red bus road turns left into Paarden Island at Milner road I think, Steve Johnson Cars is situated on that corner. I must say the SE doesn't head you head on but it can still be pretty bad. This morning was pretty rough , but the ride back was a jol for sure. I think I'm getting spoilt on that dedicated lane. I'm considering getting a road bike! ooops.
