  1. It might be a bit overboard for the IDT, but it is handy to have a second bike.
  2. You should contact C&C Steel, they have their own club with riders on all different levels.
  3. You can get the 2007 model (red version) for 1K cheaper
  4. I bought my son a F75 3wks ago. Very nice ride and good value for money. The only thing is that I do not trust the Shimano WH550 wheels, so I opted for Fulcrum racing 5's. Here is a pic of the bike with his training wheels

    Couriers?

Grey Owl, if you find David's option to be a viable one, will you please let me know, as I would like to get a bike from PE up here. I've asked a bike shop in Pta, they reckon it's around R1000 and then you still have the risk of it being damaged. Not sure which courier they've used.

    Afrikaans

Goofs, is it a pre-requisite for a cyclist of the year to be fluent in english? At least she understood the questions. How many european champions need a translater when they are interviewed in english. I feel this criticism against Marissa is unfair. She comes from a very afrikaans community and being interviewed in front of a large audience for the first time, why can she not speak in her mother tongue, instead of making a fool of herself trying to answer questions in a language she is not comfortable with. At her age I struggled to have a decent conversation in english as well.
  7. Got it, had to create logbook first.
  8. After download and set up it gives me the following error message: File 'History.gpx' could not be found. Is this because there is no history yet, or what?
  9. Had the same experience down Ertjies berg as well as Kranspoort. The wobble continued till I came to a dead stop. The problem was that I raised the handle bars too high out of the steering tube, when I returned it to its original position, I never had the problem again.
  10. I tried to register - Entered my e-mail address twice, submit, but then gives me a message about entering my details. Will they send me an e-mail with my password? How long did you wait for it?.
  11. Baie dankie vir al die mooi boodskappe. Van my kant af, mag julle n geseende kersfees he en geniet die dag saam met julle familie. P.S. Vergeet vandag van alles wat hulle se oor matigheid as dit by die Kersmaal kom. Ek kan nie wag nie!
  12. Dit klink of jy n redelike versameling het, Fanie - so doen maar jou 'slogan' gestand.
  13. I also still have the old one's and is looking to replace them with Keo's. Which model is the best value for money, or is it a matter of personal choice, or is it a matter of how big your budget is? I've noticed there is quite a big price difference.

    Vita Spice

Anyone being part of the experimental control group for this product. Would like to hear your views. Initially thought it helped with faster recovery, until I started with power sessions, which again left me with sore legs on weekends. Been using for about 5 months.
  15. Which brake pads fit on Zero Gravity calipers and where can I get them?

    Oakley fog

Some of the Oakley and Rudy frames can take prescription lenses, which are made locally. I had my Oakley Splice fitted with prescription transition lenses, multifocal included. Unfortunately prescription lenses cannot be fitted in the new Flak jackets (like the half jackets). I find this a better option than the inserts, because I'm not going to use it without the inserts anyway.
  17. Interesting Vincent. Can someone explain this medically. Rennies are suppose to neutralise stomach acids (as far as I know, I've never had to use them). Also interesting was the comment about medicines like Lipitor makes you prone for cramping. I've been using 20mg Lipitor daily for a number of years and only cramped for a period when I stopped using a Mg supplement. Although it works for me, it might not work for the next guy. It might also depend on how hard you normally race? What is considered "normal" racing effort. I can easily do an average of 85% of max over a 100km race. Is this too high?
  18. Tried Phedra cut, just because I got it for free with some other supplements. Did not work for me although I only wanted to about 3kg's. Know of other people who also used it and it did not really work. They only started to loose wheight after regular training.
  19. Who rode the bike on Saturday at the Secunda race?. I was on the R3. Stayed with the group until my front derailure gave problems. Anyway, I would like to know who can fix up my old Trek 2300 thats got quite a nasty dent on both sides of the bottom tube. Happened when it got extruded through a Thule roof mount clamp.
  20. Thanks, I've tried the mapmyride website and uploaded some tracks from my Garmin. I see there are a lot of SA users. Still need to figure out how to download routes. There is a lot of manual entering of data which I don't particularly like. Aslo it looks like you have to save the tracks one by one.
  21. Please help me out here. I've downloaded the motionbased agent and has uploaded a few tracks, which I can access on their website, but I still don't know how to get the info to my PC in the format as presented here. I also downloaded the program from zonefivesoftware as well as the Microsoft.Net application it requires, but do not know from where to access the SportTracks. If I click the desktop icon, it only gives me the option to 'repair' or 'remove' the application.
  22. Yes, I've uploaded training data from my Edge 305 to motionbased. You can search for your data by using your password as search criteria. I must say there is a lot of data being downloaded daily. I'm not sure how to search for SA data only. Barry, how do you get all your data in this format, I've e-mailed it to myself, but then only get the map. I bit unexperienced still. Another question - the Edge mapping software does not allow 'auto routing', only as the crow fly, unless you keep on clicking the whole route. What software did you get with the Forerunner?. I believe the SA STREET MAPS software can do this?
  23. Got mine from my local agent within 2 days for a mere R2200. Everything included. Lovely gadget, now I have to figure out how it works, but thanks to all the posts, it should'nt be that difficult.
  24. Anyone has experience with one of these. I am planning on getting one as my new bike has flat handlebars, not supporting the brackets of my current speedometer and Polar watch bracket. It can be mounted on the stem, but is rather large.
  25. The topic was raised on another forum after an ad was placed for a 56cm bike. There was some discussion on length and frame size, which made me wonder if I have the right size bike, as I had the lift the handlebars, shorten the stem and move the saddle forward on a 56cm Trek. Well, I had myself measured and the computer came up with the following: Total length 176cm. In Seam length 86.5cm Results: Seat tube 560 - 565 Top tube 568 - 574 Others not so important ito frame size. The verdict is that my frame size is correct, but because I sit in a more upright position, I had to make these adjustments and can possibly go for a 54/55cm????
