  1. Yeah time for people to grow up, even if your dope out of your eyeballs, you would never in a million years achieve what this dude achieves, I am not particularly fond of the chap but as far as athletes go, they see him rolling they a hatin......... Becuase after all jealousy does make you nasty.
  2. Its up to groupon to ensure the validity of the offers so all communication should go through them as they are accountable for the sale.

Chest is good but you struggle to get the right angle youll have to play and find a way to get it back to that same position, I just have a mount on my handlebars and seatpost. I hate having the thing on my head and chest.
  4. Well his last two shops went bankrupt im not sure he's going to give it a third try.
  5. that my friend is debateable. I have seen some women that deserve the right to full body spandex
  6. Agreed nothing worse than toestraps,
  7. Lock i was only half taking the micky out that statement, but in reality, you should be focusing on where you are going not whats on your handlebars, one second of glancing down at your speedo is enough to hit an obstacle and splat undesired result. But i get what your saying, though my GF knows she's allowed to look at her top speed after the ride, and she is the type that tries to better it every single time.
  8. Only if you come riding with me, ill have so much spare time waiting, ill be sure to pack some beers and some smokes.
  9. If you have time to glance down and read your speed you sure as hell aint going fast enough
  10. Well the faster you go the futher you look in front of you, no point going 50kmh and looking 3m -5m in front of you, so correlate your line of sight with the speed you take, Then the mistake most people make is putting to much weight on the front of the bike, so you hit a water runnoff area or a rut and then you will se your ass because the forces will either cuase the wheel to stick or the shock to bottom out, its about, 1. Trust your bike 2. keep your weight of the front bend your elbows and make sure your arms and legs are slightly loose and bent to act as part of your suspension the worst thing you can do is lock your elbows and have a death grip on the handles. 3. keep your balance point centered 4. As stange as it seams momentum is your friend the faster you go the easier it is to clear obsticals. 5, Only put one finger on the brakes, this not only allows more control on the handlebars, it prevents novices from gabbing a handfull of brake and going OTB. 6. Confidence, this comes with time, but when you doubt yourself you will make mistakes. I agree with bike setup bit, but that plays more a factor in going up the hills rather than down, obvioulsy shock setup is important, you want the shock to react in a way you like, (same goes for your tyres - since the suspension starts there) but that said i have seen people nail very rough downhill sections with entry level shocks and tyres and bikes, much faster than people with top of the range gear and perfect bike setups. skills courses are always a good idea for newbies And then lastly i would say concetrate on one thing at a time till the novice has mastered that skill, be it cornering, berms switchbacks, drop offs etc, Dont try and teach to much at once, Practice till it becomes second nature.
  11. August/Sept/Oct, then they drop the prices on the 2012 models drastically.
  12. And youre quite sure? I do love the darwinistic tendancies though, be assured youre not alone.
  13. Been on Maestro, Brain, blah blah hell most of them, And beleive me none of them tracks like this, its not as plush as the maestro, but its much more direct and effeciant. Keeps the wheels exactly where they need to be, and gives you oodles of traction and 0 pedal bob. Regardless of how you think it looks bottom line is that it works and it works beautifully.
  14. I run 2.25 with more than enough clearance, the UK guys complain because they use All Mountain tyres 2.3+ and that becomes and issue for them.
  15. I they should have curved the toptube like on the 2012 alu models, gives the bike a nice look. But hey im not complaining.
  16. I upped my Reba to 140mm and gave it a go, and that was awesome considering the bike wasnt designed for that kind of travel but besides it sitting a bit up, I could still get more than decent steering out of it, and could bomb anything that crossed my path.
  17. top of the range bike same as top of the range Spaz, id much much rather have the 999 .
  18. Lol so you also mailed them, didnt want to post that on there because come delivery time and the prices dont match the ones posted above, half the hub is going to be in uproar since nobody will read the first sentence with the word Estimated.
  19. Have the element 930 with upgraded brakes Front shock and wheelset. So basically a element 950. The alu version is not the lightest in its price range but man never regreted the bit of extra weight one bit. Its just a fantastic bike. I use to love my anthem X and my other bikes but since i got this one i sold the rest, I just simply had no desire to ride them again. So im really stoked that theres a carbon version comming out, I mean the alu is supper rigid cant wait to see what the plastic one handles like.
  20. Not to mention black and yellow matches my kit I is now a happy boy.
  21. I asked apparently they brining in framesets too .....
  22. Yes i have tested the spaz sworks, also the scott ellite, the giant athem, even tried a Santa and a Niner before i bought the rocky, none of them COME CLOSE!, sure some of them are lighter and blah blah blah, You have to compare apples with apples, the yeti and those are AM bikes, what we are talking about here is a bike designed for some of the toughest trails in the world that still yields a race winning bike that can take you on any multiday stage race no hassles and all of that on 29" of rubber, and that my friend is the Rocky, Bikes like the Santas are good on trails but suck on long rides, where the spez is a really fast uncomfortable race bike and ok but not great on anything that doesnt resemble a gravel raod, and i hate the brain shock. But its just my humble opinion, climb on one and see if you ever want to ride your old bike again. My money is you wont even look at your old bike. In translation here is the results of bikemag's yeti test, http://www.bikemag.c...yeti-sb-66-pro/ Nowhere is there anything in that review that would excite me to get on it. (An i like yeti dont get me wrong) Nothing like this bike shreds, its awesome its great, its a marvel, best bike i have ridden to date? Nope oh look its a yeti with a new suspension design.
  23. Not official since they havent hit shores yet, plus rand dolla exchange and all that but lets just say from 35kish all the way up to 85kish depending on your flavour.
  24. Ill let you have the ups, but you sure as hell need to bring your A game on the downs.
