  1. I suspect Kimi will take this one if he can get past Gross Jan. So will be rooting for hammy to cause havoc from the back and kimi to cause havoc from the front.
  2. No nobody is dumb enough to do that if you know each and every car gets tested at the end, it was either a miscomunication in the pits or a fuel rig error. And every 10l of fuel adds approx .2 of second to laptime, so comming up short by not adding the addtional 2l they need to cruise around a lap would add something like .0002 of second to their time. They knew they were miles ahead of the rest of the field they wouldnt willingly take a chance like that.
  3. so can we strip shcumi of 5 of his 7 titles then? since it was proven his car was illegal in 4 of them and one he drove illegally? Ill agree to disagree its too harsh.
  4. as long he doesnt have your pin and code theres nothing he can do, i.e. banks will send you a statement in the post which anyone could steal, if there was any risk to divulging an account number there would be no online transactions and you wouldnt receive your account details via normal post. What part was it ill let you know if got bad reviews lol.
  5. I disagree Mclaren is a pro outfit and this is obviously a mistake rather than deliberate, for him to give up a .5 second advantage he could have fueled himself up with another 30l of fuel and still would have taken pole. So no in my opinion its way harsh.
  6. Although back of the Grid is totally harsh, I could understand dropping him 10th, but back of the gird? ouch.
  7. Eish poor hammie i would be fuming, can tell you one thing he isnt going to give a crap who he bumps of the track now on his way to the front, its going to be awesome, Hammie at his best
  8. http://waynebisset.wordpress.com/tag/a-little-village/ heres the puclic plea.
  9. Just wait for specials, i bought mine its only 120gig model but shiny new for 1.8k
  10. Ill get the details once i am at home, lets just say this is a guy thats serious about catching poachers and getting intel out of them. And he is qualified to do it too.
  11. Lefty a brand new PS3 is between 1.8k for entry level and 3.8k for top of the range, which is why im asking the 4.5k question, i agree this is a fraudster trying to buy im just astonished at the OP's price..
  12. There is a guy thats trying to get funds to do exactly that, ex Reccie, and he is doing his utmost to get funds for kit to setup his own specialized team to work of private land. If you want to make dontations to help set him up i can ask him if i can post his banking details here.
  13. SW is a retail shop, it will always be overpriced, you will never be able to build a reltionship and start getting that deserved automatic discount on purchases, their servicing will and does suck, etc etc. They are basically designed to con first time buyers into buying stuff, as people then wizen up they start buying from speciality stores. The only thing i would buy at sportsmans, is a spare tube in about 3 years when the one I am carrying with me has no more shelf life left.
  14. Its always worth every cent, many happy safe miles
  15. How the hell did you sell a second hand ps3 for 4.5k?
  16. remember kids love they neighbour .... just dont get caught.
  17. only one way to find out i guess.
  18. schwalbe evo's suck as far as sidewalls go, I ride them simply becuase people keep on punting them for R250 a pop on specials. And im cheap enough to take those risks, however heard very good things about the snakeskins.
  19. but tyre flex aside since it has abosulty nothing to do with a QR vs thruaxle, since on both you will be using rubber. Fact is that Thruaxle is stiffer and in the world of mountainbiking the aim is to loose as much weight and gain as much stiffness or rigidity as possible. And that is what ThruAxle offers over QR the gains in rigidity outweighs the weight penalty hence it will become the new standard. Weelsize and rubber is a different debate.
  20. I am always open to a discussion, sometime, but that needs to then be a descussion based on fact and not fiction as was the case here. Put it to a previous poster that thinks its all marketing, is there a need to create thruaxle to make more money, no there is not you will still sell the same amount of bikes that contain the same amount of wheels. selling the same amount of stock. The stiffness ratios are measured through years of practical and scientific tests. And he claims he knows better and can dispute this wthout having any factual evidence to back up his statements. Thats not a debate thats a comedy. Anyway scientific principles aside, look at a DH bike vs XC bike, a DH bike will have 2.4 inch high volume tyres, for traction or and grip and they pay the penalty of rolling resistance. An XC tyre will usually be 2.1 or 2.2 for less rolling resistance and less grip. The contact of the surface area is much more pronounced in the width and the volume of the tyre than it is due to the diamter of the tyre. Hence the diamter has a negligable influence between 26 and 29 inches, since your surface area will not substantially increase sinc4 your tyre volume and width still remain constant. Theres a small change but a negligable change and that does not mathematically translate into the abiltiy to support yourself using lower tyre pressures.
  21. Ok im not even going to bother anymore, the only way you will know is to buy a bike with thru axle, once you have had enough experiance on QR. If you like it or not, thruaxle is a vast improvement on QR, the only reason why QR was in place is because outdated thruaxle systems took too long to remove, now that this problem has been sorted out get ready to have 15mm thruaxle as a XC standard as it exploids the disadvantages of QR.
  22. As far as i know only the X0 shifters start using ballbearings which makes them "less" durable. The mechanism should be very similar inside the x7 and x9 not entire sure what the dynamics are.
  23. Im drinking wine like mad to try and get drunk enough to continue this conversation, you have demostrated you have no idea how tyres work, you dont have a clue how the forces are applied to your bike rims, spokes, and hubs. And yet you argue. I dare you to mail all the bike manufacturers and let them know your gem of knowledge so they can convert all DH bikes to QR as it will same them some weight. Please post the replies here.
  24. Exactly dude, i.e having a 5cm sidwall vs a 2.2 inch width as stated in my post above. Got buggerall to do with the DIAMETER damn.
  25. you found wikipedia.. I am truely amazed now.
