  1. I have a new found respect for all you crazy okes riding marathons with rigid single speeds I did my first marathon that was Van Gaalen this past weekend with my rigid single speed. That downhill with all the rocks had my praying for some sort of suspension and my hands and arms were screaming with pain. The wait at the floating bridge gave me time to regain some kind of feeling in my hands and arms. But it all was good fun and really enjoyed the last 30km single track. Will definitely ride a marathon with my single speed again, but without front suspension....ek weet nie so mooi nie Was there anybody else riding Van Gaalen with their SS?
  2. Guys, I need some help. I'm maybe going to be forced to sell my pride and joy Pyga 110 29er. Most of the parts is almost new with less than 300km on, except for the frame. Bought the frame second hand and built the bike up with 90% new parts Specs: 140mm Fox Float 34 Kashima XTR Rear Derailleur with clutch XT Crank XTR Cassette X9 Chain XTR ISPEC B Shifters that mounts directly onto my XT Ispec B brakes Loaded 45mm stem with 780mm Rapide Handlebar ZTR Arch Wheels on hope hubs with ICE Tech XT rotors. Ardent front and Ikons rear Pro seatpost with rapide saddle. My Q is, what is the bike worth?

  6. Dont know if we watched the same race, he was definitely not sitting behind Nino conserving he's energy, it was a all out battle between the two of them from start to finish
  7. So this weekend I had my first fall with my Pyga. I don't know how, but managed to fall with my Fox Float Fit Kashima 140mm stanctions directly on a rock. MOERTOE! I'm fine but my fork is not.....going to try and claim it from insurance today

  9. Very nice! Enjoy!
  10. I would also have no objection if I knew it would do good, but it will not, and the money will only disappear and feed the already fat cats One positive thing from the by law is they are going to be strict on breeders and breeders needs to be registered. This will maybe put an end to back yard breeders and animal abusers. The by law is going to employ 10 inspectors with a salary of R20k per month and they will also receive a bakkie each to do the inspections with. It is also going to employ a full time VET for R100k per month. For this by law to work, it needs to be controlled by all the animal welfare organisations and let them receive the R20k salary and benefits. If this is the case I'm all for the by law to be instated.
  11. Guys, we are sitting with a terrible situation in Bloem. The Local Municipality wants to reinstate a By Law that forces the already heavily taxed Bloem Residents to pay licenses for their pets (dogs and cats) In short, it will cost me R240 annually per pet. They estimate that they will make a extra income of R55 660 560 that will be used for God knows what. They claim the money will be used for the benefit of peoples and pets, but we all know that will not happen
  12. I can't really comment about overweight because I don't have that problem. How much exercise does she get? All my dogs are spayed and neutered and I feed them regular Montego Classic 25kg bag mixed with a 20kg of the Montego Karoo bag. Cost is about R17 per Kilo. Don't know how you guys can afford the R58 per kilo food Is it really that good? A raw diet costs about R30 a kilo
  13. Is the Cape Town Cycle Tour not a non sanctioned event?
  14. Also not following that thread. Not judging but merely thinking out load. If the opportunity arises, I would not think twice in immigrating to another country. But on the other hand I will not be able to leave my 4 dogs behind. They are part of my family. Man Im glad I'm not in your shoes. Good luck Wayne.
  15. Please give me a comparison on how this frame is similar to a 1993 one? And what 1993 frame are you talking about?
