  2. Apologies, you are both quite right. No way to do this safely @Sampaj. These stems were made in both 1 and 1 1/8th, best bet would be to do a swap.
  3. So, looks like the alter you have is 1 1/8th and the steerer is 1” At the time, 20+ years ago, a lot of the ahead stems came with an adaptor shim in the box. Might still have one or two floating around. @Sampaj what is the height of the alter stem where it clamps around the steerer tube?

  5. hi Kobie, these spares aren't available from Shimano, you will have to source another shifter to strip spares from or find an alternative shifter.
