  1. nice coach
  2. anatomic is very flexible in terms of shammies, cut and colours. It is worth contacting them. Our club uses the more expensive shammies.
  3. okay, at the risk of letting the mountain lion out of his cage, build your own. You can be the techy route and buy the LEd's heat sinks ext and solder them all together, or you can use a 12v downlight (www.sunfor.com.za sells 3 x2w led downlights just shy of R300 each) in the traditional pipe light set up. (use the energizer torch for a more elegant finish). Use a 12volt gate battery as the power source. You can by them from 1.5 AH right up to 3.6AH. As the light only draws 1/2 amps per hour even the smallest 12volt battery should last 3 hours. (most batteries only cost R100 can can be charged with any battery recharger, or even the car battery with jumper cables can be used) KonaFan2009-04-03 07:22:56
  4. I have also ridden with them when they rode from Waterkloofridge (dros). However, the post 12pm return home left me wasted in the office the next day. (That and the wednesday post 12pm after chess club)
  5. why must everything be a race?
  6. makes it more fun...... ps how is the kiddo?
  7. leave poor TNT1 alone, he still acres what people thank about him.......
  8. obviously not sunday night. In the planning for organising of night rides it would be interesting which night you all like doing the dark and dirty thing. I know that the HHH often aim for fullmoons.
  9. fung shui tyres work best against glass, but are a real pain in the corner.
  10. I would have acceidents because I would be watching the tv screen
  11. he joined the army to wear shoes and grow his hair long.....
  12. failing JB's comments, there is no correlation between the price of a tyre and its "protection" against glass cuts. Often more expensive tyres are "lighter" and thus less puncture resistant. Cheaper tyres with heavier rubber (and more rigid thread) are often better against glass
  13. at least he is wearing protection...
  14. my mtb is going to be jealous.......
  15. something freudian here' date=' methinks? [/quote'] Wot's freudian about having being a big dick? TNT and sammajoor are not that far behind. I wonder who is the next biggest......
  16. are you a cross country rider (Stay on the single track) or do you do a bit of freeride (make your own track) over big rocks?
  17. I thought I was cursed, but no you are in worse shape. Go tubeless and buy GEAX tyres.
  18. R100 note is best. After you have used five of them, you take them out and buy a new tyre.
  19. I have found an easy and elegant manner to make bicycle lights. I use a 3 x2w cree downlight available from sunfor technologies ?(210 - 270lm Cree - P3). ?these are available for about R300 each. ?They are wired to operate at 12volts. ?I place the downlight in a energiser torch, which is slightly modified (cut short ext) ?I then use a lead acid battery. ?1.5amp hour battery is very small and costs abour R100 from a electronics shop. ?You could use a bigger battery for longer light. ?However a 1.5AH battery should last about 3 hours, so for shorter rides it is more than enough. ?For longer rides I would use a 2.6AH or 3 Ah battery. ?(I use my car battery charger to charge the battery). ? Total cost and effort is less than R500.
  20. amateurs, all of you. I have been on national tellie three times, once as a government goon, twice as a Mtbker. (those are the times that have been counted). I am in the news (and making it) where HR only reports it. Furthermore, I am known for my long rides through the strangest of places (finding my way home) and my war-zone tourism. Lastly, at this stage I train (and rode SabieX) on water and bar one, so imagine the sudden jump in performance if I actually use something?
