  2. peanuts, 21 posts on one thread WOW.
  3. Ask yourself, isn't this technical downhill supposed to be ONLY a downhill?
  4. try this: take old tshirt (like the ones that you used to get at every road running race that now clutter your draw) squirt liberal amounts of ROCK 'N ROLL chain cleaner on your chain wipe off (with that tshirt) until the chain is very shiny, or you get so gatvol you cannot anymore. Throw tshirt away Smile.

  6. this is why I avoid the "classics", ie Argus, 94.7, ext
  7. Frenchy, for the Roadie, attitude is everything, skills are an optional extra, for the mtber skills means survival, attitude is nothing.
  8. BigH you are right, there is a tool to bend the things straight. ?Park tools makes a good one. ?(Solomon's does not stock parktools usually). Yes you probably will never get them 100% straight, but it is still expensive to replace them every time they bend a fraction. ?(ie every time you transport your bike).
  9. you should be concerned. ?As you are in the cape which is both wet and salty, the best is to spray a health dose of WD40 into the seat stays and the fork. ?THere are drainage holes around the bottom for this. ?The seatpost ext is a bit harder but then you need to continually drain the bike after rides. ?Use the vacum cleaner to suck the water out, or blow the water out (there should be alittle screw on the bb to assist in this. ?Also ensure you bb is well serviced. Now wait about 20 minutes for Johan Boarnman to come and correct any wrong advice I have just given.
  10. sorry, I didn't realise that the graft was so bad.
  11. skye, down girl. There are already two threads dealing with the alleged corruption at CGC, can you keep to those two threads, and not proliferate threads on the same topic?
  12. enough already.
  13. I think he will evetually fit in nicely. Hey thing, have you met bigH yet?

  16. Juan, the only possible suggestion I can come up with is a dreaded airbubble has found its was into the system, and this may explain the sticky reaction. But I am not SME (subject matter expert). Rather wait for dirt rider to give answers on this. What does your LBS say?
  17. where to look: is the hydraulic system still good? have you been touching the disc with your fingers? is the disc bent? have you crashed recently and damaged the break lever? are you pads unevenly worn? are the aligned to the disc? again, have you crashed recently? do you take the rear wheel off when transporting your bike?
  18. Hijack on The LeTour ones do have a lot' date=' even for me. Try Cape Storm. If you have then there is not many that are still thinner then that. [/quote'] hijack on, cycling is the only sport where men can talk to women about the best way of leg hair removal, and padding. weird, really. hijack off
