  1. I've got some questions/feedback about the new Hub: 1) Is it possible to sort the Active Topics ( https://www.bikehub.co.za/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=active ) per forum? There are always hundreds of For Sale ads between all the other posts and scrolling through them is tedious. 2) The start date of the topic isn't displayed. Can this possibly be displayed please? It would save one from reading old posts over again. If space is a problem, I'd rather see the start date than the number of replies. 3) The email notification subjects don't allow for one to sort the mails per topic as the Hub name is displayed first followed by the topic e.g "Dibles replied to TOPIC NAME". 4) The Hubber's location isn't visible anymore. Is it possible to display this please?
  2. This only seems to work for new posts and not posts made on the old Hub.
  3. Great! Thanks Admin.
  4. Cookies were cleared and I even tried rebooting my machine. Ended up having to upgrade to IE8. Firefox wasn't re-directing me to the new site. It seems to be working now though. Browsing the Hub on my phone is very hard to do now too.
  5. Thanks Admin.
  6. The default is no approval but I somehow already have friends linked to my profile. I have gone through all the settings and cannot find any option to remove them as friends.
  7. Can't even read any of the topics using IE7. Can't log in now either. Could earlier. Tried Firefox and can't log in either. Signed in via my phone now.
  8. I see that friends have automatically been assigned to my profile. How do I delete them/manage them? There seem to be two lists. One seems to be the PM "Buddy list" from the old site. The other list includes some names of Hubbers that I don't ever recall having chatted to.

  12. Crashtestdummy, any chance you'll be able to provide a similar service at TB? Well done! Good to know there are still some nice guys around.
  13. Why bother making a post about this? Just contact the guy directly seeing as you know who he is and sort it out with him. Now where is the fun in that? Is much easier moaning on the hub. Guess you're right. I'm off to my happy place now.

  15. Have you read my post above? Simon Nash is the main person in charge of mountain biking at Northern Farm and he said "This will be a long process and we see no merit in signing petitions or protesting until such time as we have established that there is in fact a need to protest."

  17. I have just received this email: " There has been much speculation about the future of Northern Farm of late. As the Northern Farm Recreational User Group, we are obviously concerned about the situation but would like to put issues in perspective. Firstly, contrary to the e mails doing the rounds at present, it is only the southern side of the nature reserve for which deproclamation has been applied, not the whole nature reserve as reported. Whilst we have an environmentalist conducting an investigation into the existence of any environmentally sensitive areas within the intended area for deproclamation, we point out that this area, south of the freeway and predominantly south of the R114, has in any event been occupied by the sewerage works and overflow of residents from Diepsloot and is not used by the recreational or environmental groups in any form or fashion. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> NFRUG has registered as an interested party and lodged a document recording our activities and use of the club house area south of the freeway but north of the R114. We shall continue to participate in the process of deproclamation in order to protect the interests of the user group. On the question of Johannesburg Water stopping farming activity we are again concerned about the impact that this will have on the farm and of course its recreational use. We have engaged with Johannesburg Water, and are engaging with Johannesburg Property Company to establish their intentions and ensure that the user groups interests are protected. This will be a long process and we see no merit in signing petitions or protesting until such time as we have established that there is in fact a need to protest. We shall keep the user group posted on developments and request that all interested parties register for the newsletter on the Northern Farm website in order to facilitate ease of communication. Regards Simon Nash"
  18. Thanks for the reportback, JohnnyReggae. So wish I was there! I'm sure Howard will post a few of his pics on www.fredhatman.co.za once they've recovered. I'll post the link on here if I spot them. Well done guys. An amazing achievement. Dibles2010-02-27 13:23:16
  19. Awesome! Any chance of you taking a couple of pics? Hope your knee heals soon.
  20. Sorry to interrupt the debate but I just wanted to add this to my orginal post. "The Getz was hit by a truck, and it spun 180? and hit the cyclist."

  22. Happy now?
