  1. It’s missing bru... ????
  2. Been procrastinating, as I wasn’t sure how I was going to make the cuts, eventually did it the old fashioned way, #nopowertools
  3. Don’t worry, I’m a noob too, but hey, we’ve all got to start somewhere! That’s what sandpaper and wood filler are for [emoji12]????. I’m lucky in that I meet lots of woody people so can ask lots of questions and advice.
  4. @Rocket-Boy, Pocket holes work on angles joints too, just need to move the collar forward on the stepped bit by a 1/4 inch or so on a 45 degree mitre.
  5. I’ve been wanting to do a similar project, have a lot of Meranti offcuts, that I can cut into brick sized slices, it’s just time... Too many projects, not enough time!
  6. Alberton, 6, 9 and 12mm available...
  7. This is the hardwood commercial ply we have in stock, sheet size 1220 x 2440 (4 x 8), the finish looks similar to Saligna, or a pink Meranti. Edit: add the pics
  8. While we’re sharing the Sounds of Silence, here’s another, by Todd Hoffman of Gold Rush fame https://youtu.be/X_7zghWA6QY
  9. Yes, we do, if you are willing to pay. Shutterply is used for shuttering, it’s a C/C board, i.e. both faces are C grade which means knots and filler are allowable. B/C boards are fairly good value, one clean face, the other not. We have some really nice Commercial grade boards in stock, hardwood face, both clear, and very well priced (comparable to packing ply price wise). Unfortunately, only 4, 6 and 12mm.
  10. Chasing Rainbows [emoji304] and Sunsets [emoji560]
  11. Some jobs have to be done by hand, will need some sanding afterwards, but it will work.
  12. I have the Kreg Jig Jr, with the Kreg clamp, great piece of kit. Last week I used it to screw a plywood base into a pine box frame, worked really well. Only gripe I have is the price of the Kreg screws, so I use normal chipboard screws.
  13. Finally finished the “Cocktail” table. It was started when I thought “what can I do with these Meranti offcut strips?” Laminated, planed, sanded and sealed, the top is 900 x 900 x 50. Learnt a new skill during the holidays - grinding - though I can now put 2 pieces of steel together with a stick welder. Need lots more practice though. Now for a few cocktails at the table... 14. Bit of exploring at the Vaal dam!!
  15. “Negative Rise” is that what happens when the Viagra starts to wear off...? ????
  16. I used to have a skinsuit that would have matched that frame perfectly...!
  17. Looks more like Italy that’s had too much pizza and pasta!
  18. Eish, that can spoil an ou’s day...!
  19. Little spin around the veld with another hubber... going to be hot today!
  20. Very nicely done, you can be proud!
  21. Had to wear his shades, “things fly in my eyes dad!”
  22. Thanks! No, I don’t have an engraver, one day, along with a CNC Router... There’s a guy who lives around the corner from me who does the laser work, has a really nice setup and is super helpful. He’s done quite a bit of engraving on the plywood boxes I make for the Jenga that my wife sells.
  23. Finished the Nought’s and Crosses. X’s and O’s laser engraved into the Meranti blocks. The board was an experiment in half lap joints.
  24. Leftover beef and pork, cut up and fried with 2 cans of tomato and onion mix, some peri peri and spice. Once warmed through, make some “pockets” for eggs, crack in eggs, sprinkle liberally with grated cheese, foil over the top and allow to cook until eggs are done (I like cooked whites, soft yolks). Some lekker fresh bread with butter, and breakfast is served...!
  25. Double wrap your bars, no suspension, neck and arms will take a beating on the “gras polle”, I took strain on my rigid at the Winter One...
