We sponsored timber a while ago for some architecture students from UJ who made a big Jenga set along with benches into which the blocks could be packed when not in use, it was put up at 1 Fox Street in the urban redevelopment precinct. Fun to play. Will see if I can find the pics. Edit: damn autocorrect
In situ, needs another coat or 2 of Woodoc, but with the crap weather, it's gotten wet all week... hopefully it's going to dry soon and I can sand and treat it again.
I did Ed [emoji6] Cut them on the table saw. In the previous build, the size of the leg meant it would have been very difficult to cut the laps, this one just took a bit of careful cutting. Will probably go the Woodoc route, and just maintain it regularly.
A pile of "reject" timber Was cut into components To make a picnic table Now to treat it, any hub wisdom? I was going to spray it with 3 coats of Woodoc 50 (Marine), but not 100% sure that's the right solution?
Why has this only popped up now? It's the first I hear of it and it's at my local trails? What's the format? Laps? Starting times? I fear that without the details, and a bit of publicity, there will be too few participants to make it worthwhile. Edit: ok, clicked through to the entry site, 20km laps, starting at 18:30.
