  1. Somebody must have, else they would not be asking. What I can say is they're not mine, as I was not there.
  2. On my bucket list!
  3. Sometimes I'm still sorry I sold Big Orange...
  4. Anyone have any idea what the value of a Vitus 979 Dural with Shimano 600 Tricolor, Mavic MA40's, Nitto stem and 3TTT bars would be? I know of one for sale, ok condition, would make a nice resto project. Edit spelling
  5. Get off your laptop and go check out the sites and sounds of your surrounds...
  6. I used Avid adapters with Shimano brakes, had all sorts of issues to get them spaced correctly, swapped out the adapters, all was good in the world. My advice, change the adapters.
  7. Should make for a really nice lap, hope I can shake the flu before the end of the month!
  8. Hope Mrs Bobbo is not on ze Hub...
  9. Saw this camera on one of them tech shows, very interesting concept, allows you to refocus after the picture is taken, and allows a change of the perspective: https://www.lytro.com/
  10. Slowly... Mission control decided we needed to do a bathroom reno, so the time, energy and $$$ has been going into that! The triple clamps have been shortened and fitted to the frame, however, what I thought was a clamp for a 1 1/8 tube, turns out to be slightly bigger (30mm), so it needs a shim of sorts. Will hopefully get to do some work on the fork in the next week or so, once the fork is done, it will come together quickly. How's yours doing?
  11. It is indeed, here's wishing you many happy miles!
  12. Is it in line with the rim, on the seat stay...?
  13. I know it's not Café Racer Friday, but this is for Wyatt Earp and Hairy...
  14. Reminds me of Tuesday nights at Hektor Norris Park, good times...
  15. Yup, I was going to order some, along with the slider without the derailleur hanger, and the slider for the brake side that does not require the ISO adapter, but I looked at it and thought do I really need to spend the cash on aesthetics.
  16. Sorry, same concept though!
  17. To avoid confusion here, Paragon sliders are available from paragon machine works, but the frame will then need to be modified to take the sliders, not a simple bolt on. My advice to Mountain Bru, based on experience, if you have a tight budget, the Inbred is the best value for money. Yes, the brake caliper requires adjustment if you tension the chain, however, unless you're constantly changing ratios, this doesn't need to be done often. You will soon enough find a ratio that works for 90% of your riding, and stick with it. Somedays, I'm sorry I sold my Inbred. I have a Singular with an EBB, to me the biggest issue with this system is the effective height of the BB, which changes, seat height and setback can be adjusted, but the BB height is an issue. I was lucky to get a P29er with Paragon sliders, and it is without doubt a nicer ride than the Inbred, but that has to do with factors other than chain tensioning systems.
  18. Congrats to the happy couple, I hear the party was epic, some of the partygoers looked a little fragile today...!
  19. 32 x 19, it still hurt on the climbs...
  20. I bought 3 of the same, at about the same time yesterday for R75, now that's overpriced!
  21. You IT ou's make it all sound so easy, some of us were BBT!
  22. Fo sho...! You did contribute to the build after all!
  23. That top crown looks neat. I picked up some bars on Saturday from the Bike Hospital, though I'm not sure I'm going to make them work. They're 25mm, which I can make work on the clamps, but a brake lever becomes a challenge, as the clamp is 22.4mm.
