  1. I think its 20% off the paid advert boost not 20% off the cost of the item?
  2. David why not a similar concept for running? E.g. functional threshold pace, duration pace chart etc?
  3. nevermind now seems to be updated
  4. David, i did a 1 min hard effort. it aapears that the 20% spike is triggering. i changed it to 75% but still seems to be eliminating that effort from stats, not picked as interval?
  5. How does this work in terms of providing proof. Do you provide proof of retirement savings etc that you have at other companies? Does your house repayment etc need to come off your Discovery bank account?
  6. I thought the organisation was good. No conplaints.
  7. Well Jigg, donation made.i expect mine done at a good pace
  8. Spot on
  9. There was a group of about 15 riders. Degonkolp was in there. The group had about 30 seconds on the bunch, then some riders stopped working. Out of this group an attack went with 5 riders GVA, Sagan, Terpstra, Orica rider and one other. This was the winning move. Then in that group of 5 Sagan got pissed off with terpstra for not doing enough work and deliberately let a gap open, signalling to Terpstra to close it. GVA and orica rider didnt attack they just rode on while Terpstra and Sagan were playing games. Sagan tried to attack terpstra and other rider to get back, but failed and Terpstra chased chased him back anyway. 2 man sprint between GVA and otica rider in the end.
  10. Once again, in line with my comments about Sagan's questionable tactical ability Sagan made a tactical error again. Terpstra was not likely to beat him in the sprint, and Terpstra had more cards to play with QS riders chasing. it was really between GvA and Sagan. Sagan should not have let GVA out of his sight. What i will say is that, long term this might help Sagan because by showing he is prepared to lose others might realise they have more to lose by not working... On the other hand i was super impressed with the orica rider. He rode brilliantly tactically, staying cool with the bunch chasing down at the death, GVA was just too strong for him.
  11. He is double world champion because he is THAT much stronger, not because he is tactically better. He wins green jerseys because he is a much better climber than the sprinters not because he is tactically better. Anyways lets agree to disagree Dale.
  12. Actually exactly the opposite. He should be MORE prepared to lose if he wants more wins. He must be prepared to let the bunch catch them and lose so that others in a break are forced to work. Yesterday he was probably screwed though because both qs and sky had good sprinters in the bunch, so sagan had the weakest strategic position of the three. Sagan has improved but overall is actually tactically underdeveloped in my view.
  13. Leave the tyres in direct sun for 30 minutes to be a bit more flexible, but still tough
  14. Well done, sounds like the race just got a touch long for you so agree that the result is disproportionately worae than what it seems sounds like it really was in reality. Take spirit in some of the guys that have taken huge chunks out of their times - that can be you next year! The big thing is just dont fall off the bus now at the end of the year - enter an event for early next year now and keep training.
  15. Thats a long day in the saddle, well don Patch
  16. Amazing improvement well done
  17. They did feel much less severe to be fair
  18. Great improvement in time well done!
  19. Ditto except got dropped just before m1
  20. Yes at the intersection where we turned left to do the mini loop. Second time round the break took the wrong turn and then there was confusion in the main bunch whether to follow or go straight. ALthough i honestly dont know why the break went the wrong way, there must have been enough of them that have done the race before and knew to go straight.
  21. Gerald, the u18 and u23s ride with the elites but normally there are seperate podiums. Not a big deal, we were just dissapointed for our junior teammate. Thanks for the well organised event.
  22. This was a great write-up, please do them as a regular contribution to the hub!
  23. Race was fantastic as always. Well done ASG. Agree that old Sabie stopover was a better venue but minor point in what is otherwise fantastic event.
  24. You will love it
