  1. All ya all chatting away and I'm out here on the trail living the wireless life! (Also sending this from a thing that's not plugged into another thing)
  2. White gloves = roadies. So you'll have to wait for eTAP AXS photo
  3. For now this, rest to follow early next week https://www.instagram.com/p/BvuLP2pF2_p/ My name is Iwan if you'd like to call me first to make sure I take note of your pointing and laughing. Maybe just be specific as I sometimes ride in short socks and could confuse you for another sock purist
  4. Travel a bike not maketh. It's not about the travel. It's about the angles that comes with it. LOTS of people need more than 100mm travel as MTB isn't either XC or Downhill. There are many trails to be ridden in between that aren't downhill that a more comfortable, slacker bike with a bit more travel will make A LOT more fun than a 100mm bike. Again, it's not the 100mm here, it's the INTENDED purpose of 100mm bikes that makes it the wrong bike for 80% of people who buys them.

  6. Other brands bad or poor according to that site 80% Scott 70% Yeti 67% Giant 65% Canyon 60% Specialized 44% YT Industries Many brands have 0 zero ratings (Silverback, Merida, Ibis, GT, Santa Cruz...) Probably has more to do with our eagerness to moan vs to praise ratio.
  7. Stop stuffing around, okes... https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/351469-canyon-aeroad-cf-slx-disc/
  8. I have a set of B&W PX if anyone is looking. Only used on one trip, in excellent condition and still habe the original packaging
  9. R5,500 at an airport (doesn't have to be duty free, bought mine at domestic departures) or R6,500 from takealot https://m.takealot.com/#!results?qsearch=sony%2520wh1000xm3&userinit=true&newsearch=true
  10. I'd say that "premium" badge only comes from it's $$$ asking price. https://gadgets.ndtv.com/audio/features/sony-1000xm3-vs-bose-qc35-ii-1966224 VerdictBose has always had the edge when it comes to noise cancelling headphones, but with the WH-1000XM3, Sony has finally pulled ahead. The sound on offer is plush and detailed, with the crisp highs and wide soundstage a particular highlight. The headphones also last longer on a single charge, and the noise cancellation is stellar, and highly customisable. https://www.whathifi.com/sony/wh-1000xm3/reviewVerdictAdd all of the ingredients together – the increased comfort, improved noise-cancelling and serious audio ability – and you have as close to the perfect pair of noise-cancelling headphones as it’s currently possible to find. There are rivals out there that can beat them in specific areas, but none offer the same exceptional all-roundedness. Taken as a whole the WH-1000XM3s are simply sensational – the perfect long-haul travel companion, office upgrade or daily commute enhancement.
  11. Sony’s WH-1000XM3 beats Bose IMO. NC is incredible and audio quality along with comfort is great. The MK3 Sony recently replaced the MK2's which were the same generation as the Bose QC35. I'd say 1. Sony WH-1000X Mark 3 2. Bose QuiteComfort 35 (should be updated soon) 3. Bowers & Wilkens PX I've had the PX and now the Sony. The PX has some cool features like autoplay and pause when putting them on / taking them off. What I like about the Sony MK3 VERY comfortableLONG battery life and charge quick (one charge lasted me a CT - JHB - UK - LAX trip on 1 charge)Comes with USB-C charger cable, mini jack to mini jack, aeroplane two prong adapter, carry caseFolds flat and relatively small into a hard case which protects it when carrying around Agreed that Beats are marketing hype.
  12. Received a survey request from Zipp today. Our chance to give some input on their future designs and thought Team Bike Hub would like to part-take as well. Link to it HERE.

  18. Hi, I've ridden the Spark quite a bit. Currently the owner of the new Trance 29'er and my neighbor owns the Spark. In terms of comparing OUR bikes, he has narrower rims and more trail focused tyres on, my bike came std with wider rims (30mm internal) and DHF / DHR tyres which grip like its nobody's business, but are a bit slower to pedal to the top.His has rmote lock out, mine is analoqgueMy bike came with DVO's Topaz shock that has a piggy back Other than that they are both carbon frame, dropper posts, wide bars, 1x12, etc, etc. If I could answer your question as short as possible. The Spark is closer to a stage / marathon type trail bike, where the Trance leans more toward being a proper all mountain bike. I've ridden the new alu Trance with a normal shock and even that one felt more like it wants to play than cover miles. It is still a good miles bike, just feels a bit more comfortable on rougher stuff. I'm sure either will be great, so best would be to ride a new Trance and then decide from there.
  19. Used fhose for quite a while. Back when they were still maroon. When I changed to Vater I first played the Recording model which was closest in feel to the Weckls, with the balance more towards I liked. When they launched the LJR signature sticks I found exactly what I wanted. Have been playing them since. On the odd occasions I'll use the 5AXD stick when I need extra beef for outdoors or big shows.
