  1. 839 total entries vs 907 at Bloemendal
  2. Images from yesterday's WC event https://www.facebook.com/pg/SpurMTBLeague/photos/?tab=album&album_id=2500429876667355
  3. 859 kids on the startline today!
  4. Probably the trail. How tall are you? The trail is a bit slacker and general riding, not as race focused with an aggro set up.
  5. Here you go. Available online in South Africa https://www.capecycles.co.za/satori/dropper-seat-posts/
  6. I left there at 16:45 and it was all done and dusted. Maybe the exhibitors and vendors only got out at after 6pm, but the day's activities were wrapped at a couple of minutes before I left. Henk has answered and provided links to the GoPro topic: yes, it is not allowed under sanctioning rules. 907 kids entered for yesterday's event at Bloemendal - beating the previous record of 850 set at the first WC round this year. There were 5 events in 5 provinces yesterday, which saw close to 2,000 kids on bikes - GREAT GREAT GREAT for the future of SA Cycling.
  7. I've spoken to Cape Cycle Systems (SRAM SA agents), maybe this helps clear up some confusion: SX was a soft launch focused on OE. It shares components with NX therefor it is not THAT much cheaper when you do find it aftermarket.
  8. Speaking to the pro's at the Epic, quite a few mentioned that they run their bikes plusher there than at XCO's. At XCO's they want the bikes a bit firmer as they're accelerating out of or through stuff the whole time. From the suspension guys I got that they have a specific tune with specific settings for just about ALL of the XCO pro's that are XCO specific. RockShox's chief engineer said you don't need 100mm or 120mm or whatever to help with traction. With that in mind it wouldn't surprise me if Trek comes out with an unashamedly XCO focused bike that can double for Marathon riding as you'd also only need some "forgiveness". Not sure about whether it will be 50mm, I have no idea what's under there, but I'd put money on short travel XCO focused bike. XCO is all the rage at the moment. They have great racing with great riders and I can only see that discipline grow.
  9. I have one (the 8000) and it's a GREAT all rounder.
  10. Play 'em like I stole'em
  11. Pic from our last show. Another one tomorrow in Stellenbosch
  12. Have been in touch with Jacques - says he has reached out to you since.
  13. I know the ex owners / managers. Drop me your details then I'll get in touch with them to get in touch with you
  14. Look up Bogus Designs. You can do a search on Bike Hub or social media.
  15. Yeah, Velobrien FTW. They've done a saddle of mine yonks ago and the workmanship is unbelievable.
  16. Mine up for sale https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/358853-momsen-st-f-custom-with-bogus-hasie-paint-job/
  17. 1. That^ 2. Side entry cage should work fine on a Med. I have a Large 120 and a Merida side entry cage works fine and fits a 710ml Camelbak bottle. On longer rides I stick a Camelbak Quick Stow in my jersey pocket or Swat bibs. Works great.
  18. Spoke to the local agents to ask on your behalf. Unfortunately that bag has been discontinued. Check your PM's
  19. Agreed. I'd say go for a MULE. Great product, great brand
  20. Cycle Factory closed shop a while ago already. At least, that's the last I heard
  21. Right, so what are we going to do / what can we do. I refuse to become a victim, but I also know sitting around is not going to contribute to a solution. Let's sort this out before it becomes a proper cluster.
  22. I ride with a signal booster and battery pack with me to ensure maximum speed when shifting. Marginal gains and all. It also helps keeping wired peasants with signal blockers at bay. It's a small price to pay! ????
