  1. OE parts carry international warranty and under distribution agreements have to be honored by local agents. Aftermarket parts generally have to go throuth the retailer you bought it from, but most (more better) agents will look after some warranty cases where it makes sense. Canyon have an agreement in place with SRAM SA (Cape Cycle Systems) , not sure about Shimano (Coolheat)
  2. I've tried a few, will add some thoughts and comments later. For now have a look at these two reviews / articles A mountain biker’s guide to bike trailers for kids The best MTB child seat – a guide to kid’s bike seats Maybe Le Hub should do a review between all the locally available options...

Kimi should have stepped down. Go to WRX or something
  6. Do you have pricing on the 2019 Trance 29 yet?
  7. Hi, Have a look HERE at the list of available options. Depending on your area you may only have one or two options to begin with. Let us know which area you're looking and the guys will be able to point you in the right direction.
  8. I9 spokes are proprietary Wheelsmith have colored options and DT offer their aerolite spoke in red. Be not fooled by the name, they can handle DH duties.
  9. What is nimble and what is stable? Is MORE stable stable or is it simply MORE stable? That "criteria" was maybe true way back when when sizing of MTB's belonged to their road bike roots, but things have changed quite a bit. Stable is important when you are BOLTING down a mountain at break neck speed. Nimble is important when you break berm tops and leave a dust rooster in your wake carving down the mountain (at break neck speeds). For most trail and SA type riding fit is more relevant and important than going a size down for nimbleness and a size up for stability. Edit: not having a go at you. Just putting this out there.
  10. Hi, have a read here: https://www.bikehub.co.za/features/_/gear/reviews/unboxing-canyon-aeroad-cf-slx-r7401 Regarding duty I received some info from UPS last week: - Please note that vat is calculated as follow customs value x 10% + customs value x 15 %- Example 100.00 customs value x 10% = 110 x 15% = 16.50 plus 15 % of the customs duty.- No VAT and duty on shipping costs.

  15. Not sure if this has been posted - worth a read https://enduro-mtb.com/en/8-best-160-mm-suspension-forks-review/
  16. Good advice. Just keep axle to crown heights in mind as well. Not sure on these, butfor quite some time RS had 10mm on Fox, meaning a 160mm RS would have the same height as a 150mm Fox

  18. You can buy Darkhorse wheels that weigh sub 1,400g for under R15k. But you won't be winning the spitting contest...
  19. From the Waterfront up Chappies and back
  20. My wife has just messaged me to say that two of her running friends were attacked on Zevenwacht just past Bakwena Spa this morning. All their stuff stolen and the one lady badly hit with a pipe. Freaking sucks as I've always felt safe to ride on my own there. Seemingly not anymore. Stay safe out there peeps
