Shwalbe rockets and ralphs (non ust) are k@k when riding on the road with all the junk like nails and glass and pieces of sharp metal lying around. I had to plug tyres a few times when the sealant didn't want to do the job. Never had this problem on trails.
  2. My bikes sleep inside the house, no matter how dirty they are. I will not store a R25k bike in a R5k wendy house.

Are you using Tubeless or standard? What sealant?

I had similiar problems with rockets and racing ralphs, had to pump them regularly. I used stans on my American classic rims. Recently used 'zeroflats' and no need to pump it!!!! With the zeroflats the initial sealing was a bit more difficult than with stans, but after a few hard pumps and shaking the wheel it just sealed amazing. I used a floor pump. Blew the tyre off the rim once trying to get a solid seal with stans, pumped it to 4.2 bar and kaabooom! Sealant all over the place and useless tyre :o
  5. Good to hear your lady performs well!! was that before or after the ride?
  6. we missed you! Was very relaxed but I think the average speed was higher than last week. did 25k's
  7. Yeah come! Moo mall in Irene, think it is like corner Nellmapius and R21. Be there 6:45 ready! I think tomorrow will be a entry ride so probably 20 to 25 k's and we'll go slow. Park near the spur and look out for the MTB's. A light would be needed. If you don't have a light rather get a cheapie for the first ride and order something better later on from suppliers online or here on the hub. Lotsa guys coming first time just use a simple headlight to help them not ride into the guy in front of them! :D seeya there !
  8. I went there first time a few weeks back and decided I will not go again.
  9. I also remember some guy on a 29'er really struggling, especially on the climbs
  10. It was a very nice ride last night, very relaxed indeed. I made contact with mother earth a few times and even experienced a very well coordinated double fall where two of us were involved (things like this that brings MTB'ers together ) Thanks DnD!!
  11. I hope I can make it, my horse is at the LBS for truing the back wheel after doing some amazing stunts last weekend whats gonna happen at 6:15??
  12. Do yourself a fovaour and next time buy a can, check the bottom for signs of a hologram?
  13. hempassit works well, for best seeding use a hydroponic system
  14. You just pitch up, be at the parking near the spur at 6:45, you'll see the bikes. I think on average the speeds are between 12 - 15km/hr, so very relaxed.
  15. She has to write the ride report! Did she come off hard? Is she ok? Pitty I missed it, not the lady coming off her bike, but the ride.
  16. 110mm travel beautifull  AMS 110 race
  17. Just GO! It's fine. Might be some mud so if you are worried about getting a little dirty then time to overcome that fear.
  18. I don't think the hole needs be that big. My cube has a few holes in for water drainage, they are about only about 3mm big.
  19. Go and do a few rides at Northern Farm, you can do 12 km laps, not too technical and the hills are managable. I usually manage to do twice the distance at NF than at groenies because of more open space and longer flats. I see you are in centurion, you can join me, then it'll make me feel good when you push up the hills :D
  20. due to the ...mmmm...think 11% more tyre suface you'll have 11% more chance of getting a puncture on a 29"
  21. Yes, Bronwen, she is a close friend of mine. Do you know her? She's been working very hard to get this going. It's part of dial direct.
