  4. I went out at just before 9, cycled from Clubview Golf course up Old Joburg to Nellmapius and then came down John Vorster back towards Clubview. Was pretty wet out there  Cycled mostly on the side of the road so I was full of mud. I left the bike outside in the rain for a natural wash. Will open up the BB and hubs later to re-grease.
  5. well done!
  6. Yeah, one day I will do a race without pushing the bike, then I'll know that I've arrived
  7. I measure my performance by how many times I get off the bike to push (: If I only push 3 times then I am outperforming myself, If I push 5 times then I'm doing ok, anything above 5 means I'm k@kking off.
  8. Cycled from Centurion to Northern Farm, did a 15k Northern Farm ride (back gate entry withoutan access card, oops! ), then chilled at the tuck shop with energade and Bar One for 10 minutes, cycled back to Centurion. Getting ready for Baberton month end. Total 60km
  9. Thanks! What I do ....In short, we supply Large Power Balance bracelets to the Food and beverage process Industries. ok, here we go: My company produces electrochemically activated solutions. We pump water through a special Chemical reactor that has a anode and cathode with a ceramic membrane between the two. The membrane basically prevents water from passing between anode and cathode, but allows ionization between the two streams of water. This results in two stream of water being oppositely charged. The one stream, Anolyte, is positively charged and carries a charge (ORP) of 1000mV+, the negative water is negatively charged with a ORP of 800mV- The positive is a very strong oxidant and therefore very good disinfectant, the negative one is a antioxidant and carries surfactant properties. Now, add normal salt to the water, say 2.5g / litre and you have NACL in the water. The NACL makes the process interesting because it produces Hypochlorus acid at pH neutral in the Anolyte, and sodium Hydroxide in the Catholyte. Hypochlorus acid is the same species that is naturally produced in our bodies to fight bacteria. The sodium Hydroxide is basically caustic. Now: -The food and beverage process Industries uses loads of chlorine and caustic in their processes. Chlorine and caustic is very dangerous and also very expensive, it asks for complicated logistics and safety measures in order to be made available to process plants. -Our Electrochemical activation systems can be installed locally, and by using clients own water and normal salt (freely available) the client can produce he's own "chemicals". -advantages - this stuff is very safe and can be consumed by humans without any negative effect! - It is more effective than traditional chemicals and needs less exposure time thus increasing production time for products. - No more complicated logistics for transport and storage. - it is free rinsing and therefore reduces water usage for long chemical rinse steps. Many plants uses steam for disinfection - steam requires large amounts of energy! We have been installing these systems for Coca Cola international worldwide and have received reports of saving related to energy up to 90%, water 70%, chemical cost savings of 80%, cleaning time reductions of 70% The applications for this technology is not only limited to process Industries but has many medical and househould benefits, the list is endless!
  10. Now you have opened another can of snakes .... Lemme jump the gun and save lost hubbers the trouble: Does God answer prayers related to beer?
  11. Aaa...mmmm.... Friday morning devotions. Me also like beer, and whisky and Gin, And when I & I feel naughty some Ricky Louw with Coke. Talking about beer, coincidence? 14. Oh what has the world come to??
  15. what? for a refund??
  16. One of my favourite passages in the Bible explaining man's condition and position in relation to God. Romans 9 : 19 One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?” 20 But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’”[h] 21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use? 22 What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath—prepared for destruction? 23 What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory— 24 even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles? 25 As he says in Hosea: “I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people; and I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is not my loved one,” We live in a church era where the wrath of God and he's hate towards sin is not recognized. All this only focus on "a loving God" puts forward a incorrect image of the God of Israel. Man still thinks that he has some right to live and that there is some righteousness left in his heart. All people deserve to die! We have no idea as to our shortcomings and the level of condemnation we deserve! God hates sin! He hates sinners. The question should not be "why does God kill innocent babies?" but it should be "why does God save sinners?"
  17. Imagine what a disappointment, when they get to heaven and realize it did refer to 72 virgins, but male virgins! :D
  18. I would say those that pray like this might have missed the point. Jesus said, this is the way you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us the wrong we have done as we forgive those who wrong us. Subject us not to the trial but deliver us from the evil one.
  19. Oh yes.... science, the world's latest religion. You've all been had!
  20. What are you talking about?? Did you know there is a theory (and me not saying it's true) that the fuel we burn today are the remains of those who died in the Biblical flood.
  21. May you get all the answers in life that you are looking for. I am also still searching for answers, think the key is to never stop thinking and searching. It'll probably go on till we leave these bodies, and who knows, even after then continue. To those who freak out and get all over happy like a child eating too much sugar, chill. These are only a few lines of religious debates, get over it!
  22. Surprise surprise ...! Welcome to ......drum roll..................... The Hub for Jesus!
  23. Believe me, I do know how the hub folk think about religion, for they are all humans, and most humans don't like to discuss religion. Most humans also fear death. Luckily I don't care too much what they think about me or my religious views. I have been involved in many religious debates and know the usual reactions. I find the reactions funny and also interesting. Used to take it personal, but am over that part.
  24. -normal human?? Humans are the sons of God. - Trinity - eish - a man made word to refer to theological truths - but no complicated at all - God being supernatural or not .... I think you missed my initial point. Anyway, I would say the reason humans (and you) might think God is supernatural is because we have been removed from him. If God is supernatural, then so are we! We were made in He's image! (Biblical) -Jesus did die, but death could not hold him, he overcame death and opened the way to life, eternal life! (again, this is Biblical, I don't think you read this in the Bible, hence the reason I say you are not fit to make statements related to the Christian faith -How old is the earth - I don't know
  25. What do you mean? It's a picture of a pretty flower @ timestamp ... who do you think you are, giving you the right to be humorous ??
