  1. Hopefully these will be for lunch in about a week...
  2. Bwahahahaha! Gotta love kids...
  3. The moodiness gives it a blockade-type feel!
  4. Fort Bill. But I seem to think it happened once at Mont St Anne too...
  5. He must get lots of free smoothies via Discovery...an iWatch thingie would make him a more attractive target for crooks, hence he'd run ever fasterer than normal...
  6. I know the mother of the guy whose half-brother is married to Greg's sister... Hahahaha! I have been lucky to have run into Greg a couple of times over the years, the first meeting being the fan evening ahead of the 2009 world cup in PMB. Kranswurm will remember that.
  7. Hell, he even managed a podium once after dislocating his shoulder halfway through a run!
  8. When you need something to lean on...there's pizza :-)
  9. They had the winner on the wireless this morning... 702 ‏@Radio702 15m15 minutes agoCongratulations @Claytonvw on your amazing photo winning @702JohnRobbie 's @joburgtourism #Welcome2Jozi competition!
  10. BREAKING NEWS: Fikile Mbulula has instructed Jukskei SA that it is not permitted to bid for any international events... Bokdrol Spoeg SA is reported to be keeping a low profile at the moment...
  11. Probably the best moment I have ever had at an MTB event was Maritzburg in 2013. I was in the bullring when Greg came in...that place went off. He tried to calm down the One Life loons while there were still rider(s?)* to come. *Think Gee still had to run, but not sure how more riders there were still when Greg got the hot seat. Anyone?
  12. We're not worthy...
  13. I prefer my biographies in potted form. There is a series of books of obituaries published by the Daily Telegraph. Lovely books to have and dip in to from time to time.
  14. Not so great Scott...
  15. The ones strapping them on are usually a certain level of desperate; the ones who are handing them out are the crazies...
  16. Can anyone remember how long Barloworld were still in for before they got an early out?
  17. None to Gen: If you see a Tag Heuer for sale on the hub, steer clear...unless you really like You Magazine and paddle pool owner's manuals. And other dodgy stuff involving hangars...
  18. I once test rode a Scott Expert something or other that had so many handlebar-mounted levers on it that there could have been one to do that...
  19. Mmmmm...there were murmurings that Nolan doped to ride through an injury because he was told the sponsorship would be pulled if he took time off to heal. True or not, Neotel was looking for an excuse to pull out. The company originally said it would continue to support the academy.
  20. Crap pic, but it's the content...snapped this on Friday night at Pirates. My youngest kid, Breandan, played the league final and won. He was quite overcome with emotion as it's his last season playing rugger here - he emigrates in two months' time. Was awesome to be there.
  21. I seen warranties being handled by local peeps for overseas purchases here. There is still the burden of providing PoP to ensure the bike/component was not obtained in the grey market. I was once had a customer at the shop get advice for a number of weeks, then go off to a discounter to buy the bike...and then have the cheek to try claim a free first service from us when it was set up wrong by the discounter.
  22. And to think that some of the shops on the list posted earlier are recommended regularly here on the hub...
