  1. Hmm, day for the sprinters, Michael Mathews maybe (if he is still in the race not even sure!)
  2. - I dont know,....... but as Lance was fond of saying "Its not normal."
  3. Yeah, the safe money would have been on Uran for sure, frankly, like you I thought Uran would outfox him or get away on the climb, but I was hoping Barguil could hold on, it was very close but I think he deserved it.
  4. - Have ya seen the size of Possivivo - two bricks and a tickey high is all. I was very impressed with Warren Barguil, two stages in a grand tour is not to be sneezed at, seems he has a great sporting future ahead of him.
  5. Yeah, maybe it was a mistake getting it so early. Rodriguez will have to wiggle if he hopes to make up that time, not much racing left. I am sure Valverde will keep a podium spot, my concern is Horner, I dont know if the others are just giving him room as they dont really think he can win, or if he is just better than them, even Valverde looked like he was struggling to hold onto him yesterday, I dunno, it would certainly go against all the books if he did win.
  6. True, coffee craft is fine, but sometimes you just want a quick coffee. I was on the road the weekend and going through some little dorp I just wanted a coffee, stopped at KFC and they didn't have any, so stopped at the Gas station across the road and they had those small franchised coffee shops, the guy brewed it up quick and off I went, nothing special, but at the time it was great and I thoroughly enjoyed it,....I guess I am just a pleb.!
  7. Which do you prefer the Kazaar or the Dharkan.? I prefer the Kazaar oddly enough although to be honest I really dont find that much of a difference. A little peeved as I went to Nespresso in Sandton and ordered 5 x Kazaar amongst my usual mix, and only noticed when I got back the fella had given me 5 x Dharkan by mistake, anyway, as I said I cant really tell much of a difference so I just kept it.
  8. Sure, but I think one should never risk it without a doctors authority first. I have a simple outlook on life, if my doctor needs some heavy engineering, he comes to see me and I trust he takes my advice as I know more about it than him, if I need medical info I go see my Doc, and I take his advice because I accept he knows more about it than me. Its pretty much served me well.
  9. Everybody feels that way in the beginning I think, at least I did as well. But you get used to it and now its like part of my day, I dont even think about it anymore, its almost automatic, its amazing how we adapt.
  10. - Ha, Ha, yeah, I concur.
  11. I dont know, my cardiologist told me your blood pressure changes all the time, he says one reading is not enough like they do at these "Quick check" places, plus many people suffer from "White coat syndrome" which can effect it as well. Some years ago my GP took my BP and it was 140/100, I was 50 odd at the time, he told me to go see a cardiologist. The Cardiologist was great, he put me through a whole series of tests and told me to wear a blood pressure monitor for 24 hours. When the results were in he told me the monitor showed a different average reading and overall I was within normal range which was 130/90 for my age. He checked my cholesterol and said overall, its okay but "Orange lights" were flashing and he would put me on a mild cholesterol / BP tablet called "Caduet 5/10" he also put me on Ecotrin and told me to take it for the rest of my life, when I asked why, he said it just does so much good and very little bad, it sounded fine to me, I hope to live a long time so thats what I do and I have been on this now for well over 8 years and my cholesterol is 3.9 and steady and my BP still average of 130/90. Every now and then I'll go to the doc for something and my BP will be high when he takes it, once I went and it was 160 /100 my Doc nearly fainted, but I see the cardiologist every two years and wear the belt and he forwards the info to my Doc, last time was in May 2013 and it shows all is good, average 130/90 . Just a long winded way of saying go see a professional specialist who can advise you and take their advice.
  12. Scarpo showing his usual climbing ability and looking for a stage win, today maybe.? I think thats about as good as it will get for him now, maybe a top 10. Nibali looks perfectly in control to me, I cant see them shelling him, I hope Valverde can at least pull up into second, but a win now looks fairly remote in my opinion.
  13. Yeah, I like Nibali, he appears to be a fairly quite guy and I have always liked his spirit, but I would also like Valverde to take it, I just think he had some bad luck at the tour, this would be a nice recompense. Had to chuckle at Mathew Keenans comment, "Valverde is very lean, carrying no extra weight, except that heavy gold chain around his neck." Classic.!
  14. Its nice, very strong but not bitter which I usually associate with really intense coffee, I think it will make a great morning Espresso, so I bought a few tubes, I personally cant tell much difference between the two, so I didn't bother with the Dharkan - and Yup, I tried both, had a real coffee high going there for a while .
  15. So probably a day for the sprinters today, who is it gonna be, Tyler Farrar has been noticeable by his absence so far, maybe its his turn, or maybe Boasson Hagen?.......I dunno, as I have had it wrong most times, I am covering my bases now, in all likelihood it will be some one totally out of context for the stage,........ so maybe Rodriguez.??
  16. Cool, thanks, Maybe I'll get in to go try the Kazaar today, I need a kick to get going , then we have a hub opinion on both. I think it would be a bit over the top to try both at once, probably be on a coffee high the whole day.!
  17. Quite nice, never heard of her. It does look like SA doesn't it, although I guess it could be anywhere in Africa, Uganda, Ghana maybe. Although that been said I have a mate in the Yacht business and he says they often shoot promotional Yacht videos here, they apparently just did one here off Durban and Cape Town for a California based manufacturer. Seems crazy they would schlep all the way out here when there is great scenery around California, but, there you are.
  18. Yeah, sometimes I get the promotional email sometimes not,.....seems its a bit hit and miss, but this one I got. Luckily. Let us know what you think, I was hoping to go today but it didn't happen, maybe tomorrow. Nespresso seems to be bringing out new cru's quite frequently now which is kinda nice, keeps one interested as it were.
  19. Hah, yeah, you and me both, I give up now, just gonna watch and see.
  20. - Ha, Ha, Naa, its okay, he was good on the day, no denying that.
  21. - Yeah, its fine, but you may encounter a lot of teasing when he comes in 5th. So at your peril.
  22. Yeah, you and me both.
  23. Yeah, it was their biggest hit I think. Although a lot of their work never got as far as been broadcast as it was banned, they were a little "revolutionary" ZX-DAN is great though. What about these guys "The Helicopters" also had a few good hits, also straight out of the Vaal triangle. I actually knew their Manager Greg Cragg fairly well and through him got to know a few of the guys, Bernie Binns was the inspiration in the band, thats him in the vocal role, but the other was John Mason and Franco - they were very well known locally at the time, but Greg had other big business interests and this was a part time thing for him, and they just slowly fell away. Although last I heard Bernard was still around living in Alberton I believe, dont know about the rest. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_p8FbOcZgg
  24. On SS6 it starts at 16.00 hours. I hope so.
  25. Anyone tried the new Nespresso flavors, I got an email saying the new Kazaar and Dharkan Grand Cru's are in store.? Quite high intensity of 12 and 11 respectively. I need some more pods so I was thinking of trotting over to Sandton and trying them.?
