  1. I see he doesn't include Horner as a threat to the GC.? I was impressed by Basso, he was never very explosive like Rodriguez for example, but he has huge endurance and can grind on up at a steady pace forever. Looks like he could make his objective of a top 5 finish.
  2. ...and these guys, "Radio Rats" straight out of Springs, they were big in the late 70's, I can remember going to clubs in Hillbrow and when ZX DAN came on the roof would raise, catchy tune as well.
  3. Dont laugh, ............. I think he is great, still have a few of his on vinyl somewhere I think. Still with us too, 76 or so I think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AvULw1mfJA
  4. No, I dont, I think the course is quite hard so it will be someone who is able to climb and keep a hard pace, Nibali is the obvious choice but maybe someone like Roche, Basso, Gilbert, Fuglsang could surprise us, even Valverde could be right up there, its the kind of course he likes.
  5. Yup, lots of people scratching their heads on that one.
  6. Ha, Ha, well, okay, fair enough.
  7. I know about Simeoni, but its a little different I think, its just one guy, it didnt really effect the race, same as BMC thats just standard practice, what I meant was physically stopping racing as he did at the Giro, going to the front putting his arms wide across the peleton and stopping racing, many team managers complained, but the riders said they were intimidated.
  8. I dont know, its irrational I guess but he gets under my skin, - I can accept he is a great athlete but I see him as a bit of a "political player" in the peleton, he is quick to stir up protests, slow the peleton down to protest something he is in favor of, get to the front and change the dynamics as he did in the Giro a few years back by telling everyone to stop racing, even LA in his day, with all his faults, didn't do that.
  9. Pretty well I reckon if his run from a few days ago is anything to go by, he has excellent form. I hope he takes it for three reasons, 1) I dont like Cancellera. 2) I think he deserves a win. 3) I dont like Cancellera.
  10. Yes, will be interesting to see how Horner goes, I have a feeling Nibali will be back in Red tomorrow, even if he doesn't want to be.
  11. - It is kinda embarrassing, although in our favor is Basso who appears to be as strong as any in the field, Scarpo unfortunately though is not doing well, sad cos he cant even claim fatigue from the Tour. I dare say Rodriguez also looks to be struggling a little, this climb had a perfect finish for a small climber to accelerate away and Rodriguez is famous for that, I was almost holding my breath waiting for it, but alas, I think he is also somewhat fatigued - its a tough call so close to the tour. Nibs though, looked fine, I think he underestimated Horner a little, maybe they all did, but I dont think they will let him ride away again.
  12. - Sadly you just put into words what many are thinking. I guess we will see.
  13. Yeah, I think he has all three jerseys now, pretty good going indeed. Seems the TDF was too much for Kreuziger and Mollema, just not enough recovery time.
  14. Yeah, Basso was great, maybe he just left his run a bit late, I thought he could have won if he got a gap. Nibali seemed to lag a little near the end there yesterday, hope its not signs of the future, but then he is still well placed overall, probably happy to get shot of the red jersey.
  15. Do you think Horner will be around in the big mountains EZRider.? I dunno, he has never really impressed the results on the European circuit, he seems to do well domestically in the USA but in Europe not so much. Dunno, maybe he has it right this time,.....
  16. - at Scarpo's age you only get one or two shots to go big, so I think he is waiting till the high rareified air of the big mountains in the final week, ...........at least I hope so, the old boy deserves a podium I think.
  17. Yeah, I guess its fine if you just wash smallish bike parts, but my feeling is you will soon find bigger stuff to wash and its not deep enough. Personally I prefer this stand alone unit, size wise (760 x 520 x 890) its more versatile and the stand alone value makes it easier as you dont need a bench or table top, plus it remains at an easy height to work. There is a small price difference of about 400 bucks (R800-R1195) but to me anyway its worth it. http://www.tooltime.co.za/ProductDetails.aspx?id=3829 I have always wanted one around my workshop so I think this has convinced me to head off and get one.
  18. Yes, today is not too bad but tomorrow and Monday should show who is serious about the podium and who is just along for the ride. In my opinion Moreno and Valverde will want to break up the pack today and go for a win, I like Moreno and he is still strong after the tour so I hope he can take it, but I think Valverde will be hunting the bonus seconds.
  19. Yes, I think Uran is a tremendous rider, a real challenger in most races he enters.
  20. Yeah, Cancellera was the main reason he got caught, Morkov and clan jumped on his wheel and got towed to a win, they would never have caught Tony otherwise. I never liked Cancellera.
  21. You think so..? Maybe, I dunno, he is not a prolific tour winner, I think he will struggle in company of the likes of big hitters like Valverde, Nibali, Rodriguez maybe even Pozzovivo.
  22. I was going to say "Respect" in terms of putting an engine in your dishwasher and your wife still allows you back inside the house. If my wife saw an engine in the dishwasher she would have an apoplexy, life certainly wouldn't be pleasant around the house for a while.
  23. Yes, it should, insurance is aimed at putting you back in the same position you were before the incident, not improving your previous position.
  24. I am hoping I can do it as it will be my 13th consecutive year,.... but I fear I will be in Canada.
  25. Yeah, wont work, the solvents will damage the pump diaphragm in a very short time and I doubt it would be strong enough anyway. You can buy stand alone part washer pumps for about 400 bucks, but then you need the make up a stand fit a basin etc, for all the effort it will entail its probably cheaper to just buy one complete, plus size wise you can use a commercial washer for a number of application other than bike parts.
