Heard one of the ASG guys at the 94.7 expo quoting the Dogma weight at 7kg, not particularly light for R100k, you can pick up a Giant for R50k at 6.3kg and the Giant frames technology is better, but hey then you wouldn't have the bragging rights that the Pinarello gives you.

I have no problem charging my Flea light via the USB provided (only have the front light). Plug the USB into any of the ports, turn the computer on, make sure the contacts on the USB and light are properly connected, the light flashes intermittently while charging.

Is there anybody who has ridden both and can give a direct comparison? I mostly race marathons, but do the occasional stage race, doing 3 Towers and Joberg2C, so my criteria are reliability & durability & smooth shifting, not concerned much about weight.

Hi All, I am looking at upgrading my current drive train from Shimano SLX to either 10 speed XT or SRAM. I have always used Shimano, haven't been unhappy but haven't been blown away either. I don't know much about SRAM, but it seems to be getting great reviews. What is the SRAM equivalent of XT? and what is the price comparison like? Also if I go SRAM do I go 2x10 or not, I quite like my granny gear at times!

Covie I ride a carbon mountain bike, but not for weight saving, the ride is a lot nicer than aluminium.

Go carbon, the ride is awsome, much more comfortable than alu. I weigh 90kg and have had no problems with the frame. Personally I would go for one of the GT Marathon carbon bikes.

Thanks for the replies. Martin I am definitely more of the fit and forget type, more because I don't really have the know how not to be, so I'm thinking the Fox might be the better option?

Have a Fox RP23 on the back, very happy with it.

I currently have a Rockshox Recon 332 on my GT full susser. I am thinking of upgrading to a Fox F120RL or a Rockshox Reba Team Dual Air. Apart from the weight saving and remote lock out are there an other advantages in upgrading? I mainly ride marathons and the occasional stage race such as 3 Towers.

Were you by any chance hit on North Rand Road in Boksburg?

Had the same problem with my bike for the last few weeks, took it to my lbs and they cleaned and greased the pivots where the rear shock attaches to the frame, no more squeaking. Apparently quite a bit of dirt gets in there!

IMO Contador is a chop, that was really bad sportsmanship, even if he does take the Tour now people will say he didn't win fair and square. I recall a few years back when Ulrich had a crash LA waited for him/didn't attack and vice versa when LA was taken down by a spectators bag.
