  1. I love mountain finishes! Froome is going to have a more difficult time of it this year in the Tour. Nibali is looking a bit vulnerable at the moment, but he may peak at the end of June - can't count him out yet. Especially those that have no MTN adverts (Eurosport)!!!!
  2. Good initiative. Hope it sees positive results.
  3. Best of l;ick to all riders. Kudos to all of you.
  4. This advert is rapidly becoming extremely irritating!
  5. After reading Millar's piece, I must admit to changing my opinion on Wiggo ever so slightly. Froome is the better Tour rider - no doubt there - and Wiggins has the huge motor. The strength of leadership should be there to corral these galloping egos and forge them into a fighting unit. Although it may seem unlikely now, we should not be surprised to see Wiggins at the start in July. It would make for an intriguing edition of the race!
  6. I agree A top 10 finisher for sure. Top step....probably not to be repeated again by Wiggo.
  7. Fair comment - I agree with the ToC reference - a good, solid and impressive win. My point, however, is this: Wiggins could win the Tour IF he had the same help he had in 2012, and under no other circumstances. He simply does not have the ability to keep up, under pressure and isolated, once the road tilts dramatically upward. While difficult in a one week race, this is not so much of a problem. A three week race is a whole different kettle of fish altogether. I would love to see Wiggo, Froome, Quintana and Froome duke it out head-to-head in July with the new generation snapping at their heels.
  8. Wiggins needs a Froome/Porte/Contador/Rogers-type dedicated helper(s) to shepherd him through the mountains. He is not capable of winning the high mountain stages on his own against multiple attacks by determined adversaries. He may have a big motor, and his Paris Roubaix was impressive, but a Grand Tour winner(going forward) he will not be - perhaps if Contador rides for him and he returns the favour, maybe then. BUT...oh, wait, he doesn't return favours. Imagine, for just a second, Wiggo trying to follow Quintana up the Galibier or similar Alpine stage, after three cat 1 or hors categorie climbs, after having exhausted his helpers. Time trial prowess will not suffice this time, I'm afraid. Froome can do it, so can an in-form Contador. Wiggo's engine isn't designed for this type of effort. 2012 may as well be 1912 for all the relevance it has with regard to winning the TdF this year or ever again for Wiggins.
  9. RyanPmb and crew riding this year!!! Good luck with the trek. One of my bucket list rides (if only to meet the Dikwiel Kommando)
  10. I think we have the makings of a rivalry between Froome and Quintana. il pistolero will become a modern-day Poulidor. Going to be exciting racing for the next few years...
  11. A little late on the draw here..... I think the situation has been resolved, if i read correctly on the RASA website.
  12. Who is Andrew Joubert? Should I know who he is?
  13. Tomorrow's stage is going to be EPIC! (please don't sue me, Mike)
  14. Very clever.
  15. yes. missed out on one a few years back - was super disappointed at the time.
  16. Good luck with your endeavours! Hope you succeed.
  17. Correct. Framesets are manufactured in the East, and bikes are apparently assembled in the EU. Here is an interesting page on Inner Ring that details what is made where and is owned by whom...interesting reading.... http://inrng.com/who-makes-what/
  18. Pinarellos should be manufactured in Italy. This is as it was intended.
  19. Rode at Giba yesterday. Was an awesome day out. Great trails, very steep, awesome singletrack descents. I just wonder how much more development will occur before the gorge loses the magic it has? Pity the landscape is so scarred now.
  20.  Turned out beaut!!
  21. Jealous - at work and it is DEAD!
