  2. also check out "cycling training videos" on youtube. some great rides there - download freemake, and you can save the rides to your pc/laptop. I also have sufferfest, which are unbelievably hard! good stuff.
  3. I watched FoodInc yesterday..... My garden will be going in as soon as i can organise it.
  4. I just saw what you did with the title.....very sharp!
  5. Typical of the brand, it would seem. As someone else said: a real pity, because their products are, by and large, very good.
  6. I agree completely. Let the person buy whatever he/she wants. My bike purchases are limited by: a) finances b) personal preferences (steel) c) the minister of finance (my wife) d) a self-imposed cap in spending dictated by a self-assessment of my ability. I.O.W. I am too slow and fat to warrant the spend on a top tier carbon fibre race bike of any description.
  7. This has been a great thread. Groot ballas that AA has to have started it. Kudos!
  8. That must be one of the nicest driving/riding roads I have ever been on. Nice vid.
  9. Get Toni Pedro at Republic Sports or Mark Foster at good2go in pinetown to build your wheel. I would say 24 spokes is 8 spokes too few. I speak from bitter personal experience .

  17. my bad - feels like a sunday...
  18. pegoretti saying that the buyer should not tell him how to do what he does best. he used to build tom boonen's bikes - for years - they were just rebranded. excellent bios/doccies on vimeo - a true master.
  19. Very nice. Elegant.
  20. One of my faves out there. Great design - apparently awesome to ride. Their kickstarter was successful in very short order.
  21. rather go for nature walks etc. most good hotels have a decent gym with stationary bikes etc. go for a quick spin/circuit followed by a dip in the ocean, then wallow away!
  22. Got a nespresso machine for my birthday last week. Extremely chuffed with it! Partial to the ristretto and arpeggio pods at the moment...
  23. Smoke and mirrors, people. Sky will be in top form come July. Creating the illusion of weakness can be useful too.
  24. Epic riding! The Tour may be a bit closer this year!
