I have looked at various deraileurs and have wondered. Does it really come in 9 speed, 10 speed etc...? I mean if you really look at the mechanics of the whole thing is it not just the STI's that have to be different? A derailleur is ideally a springloaded device which does what the STI tells it to do?

I had the same happen to me on the sunday morning ride. It started by continously climbing off the small chainring. Then suddenly it breaks... I have a chainbreaker on my multi tool so I removed the link and its little neighbour. But it didn't last. So I guess I'm off to the LBS to buy a new Chain...

36 hole rigida dp 18 rims with ultegra hubs. the right thing for a chubby casual rider and worth every cent! why on hell would you buy one of the named expensive wheels? Due to the fact that not all of us are able to fly down the road at speeds unknown to normal mortals..We buy the good stuff so we can at least look good when crossing the finish line

With us they split and leave in 15 Min intervals... So you normally have one or two a groups, one or two b, sometimes up to 3 c groups, one or maybe two d groups and then of course an e group. There are plenty marshalls per group and then there are two recovery vehicles on route.

Club 100 has probably about 150 riders minimum on the ride.

So if I ride my Specialized with 404's with yellow sticker on everyone will know that I secretly desire to have a raleigh?? I do not compete with the front crowd but still would like to have some decent equipment. Do I take the Zipp's and risk them braking as I said I'm not the lightest, or do I stick with tried and tested alu rims. My father in law has had Pro Lite and Edge carbon wheels and he swears by them. But when you take a good alu wheel it is nine out of ten times just as light and possibly a lot stronger..Especially as jy so dik is soos ek! What to do....

So if Cajees are selling the for R10K what is the normal price...? Problem is that I want a set of Carbon rims...Looked at the spinergy stealths but the finish on them were horrible, looked like plastic rims...A set of edge or equinox will set me back between R7 and R8k. But at the price the dude is asking me I might as well buy from Cajees. What is wrong with those 404's or is Cajees price actually just good? Have been of the road for about 5 weeks due to a back injury so my weight has not been what it should be and I have never been the lightest of guys.Hence the question about the weight limit. Otherwise I should stick to the alu rims and maybe get a nice set of Fulcrum racing 1's?

So here is the story...I can get a set of Zipp 404's with the dimples for an insanely good price... Used once...About a hundred k's What is the weight limit on these ? Does the dimples make any difference or is it just for show? All and all a nice set of wheels... Has yellow stickers though but I'm sure they can change it???

I understand that there are guys that had to cycle back. Our club had two van's with trailers. Plus then of course the team cars...but we even spot one guy wearing our club kit.

I'm probably opening a can of worms here but coming back from the fast one I was shocked to see so many cyclist on the highway back towards Alberton. And this time around it was not just one club but various ones. There was even a guy without a Helmet. And all this going on while large coal trucks travel down that stretch. We are preaching safety etc and become upset when someone gets knocked over. But the prominent clubs allow their members to do this. We saw this while going out to fetch one of our riders that came down. When we were busy going back out of the route we came across a big bunch of Neotel riders going back on the same route as opposed to using the highway...

Looks like a track just outside P.E...Sardinia bay??? We used to hike there....

Talking about clip-on pedals...We have got a little beauty queen that started cycling with us...Can only do about 10 km's ...Has to stop to have a drink... And has fallen about twice on every ride because she can't get her feet out of the pedals...

I'm sure they can cycle....Almost anybody can cycle. I'm sure thay are not as good as Dieretuin Koekie en Aarbei Mammie. Besides if I look at them it seems that they would only be cycling/spinning in the gym...
