  1. Man every year this happens and I get serious fomo. One year I am going to train some mtb and put myself out there haha!
  2. I may be biased but the Storck Grix looks really nice, I have been eyeing it in the shop and can't wait to take one out. The clearance with 650b is INSANE, more than I think you would need unless touring, and 700c is not bad at all either
  3. Agreed. The simplicity of 1x on the gravel bike is fantastic and the 1w you lose by cross chaining you can save by not having a 200g ish of front derailleur and extra chainring.
  4. Big carbo has clearly gotten to you... Sako 7 can ride hundreds of km at 3 w/kg on the power of the previous night's steak, and does not grace us with his presence at any of the local races so that we can still keep our dreams alive.
  5. That is quite disappointing, I was thinking of entering.
  6. I accept I am the exception because I was mostly sitting in and making sure I stayed at the front over the hills, and I know that route properly well. But I did not need to look at my watch at all in the race
  7. it takes practice, gravel corrugations on a slight downhill are best for training
  8. I wouldn't mind a small Garmin for racing. It is really nice to have the big one for training and navigation, and when you don't know the route... But I did CTCT with only my watch and it was really chilled. You are either there or you aren't...
  9. Those Golden Girls are the UCT rowing ladies haha
  10. If someone in the Southern Suburbs can lend me a direct drive indoor trainer, I am quite keen.
  11. I have lost my Oakley Sutro Lite if anyone happens to find a pair
  12. My advice would be to look for the same crankset in 172.5 or the same power meter in 175 instead of risking injury and asymmetries that could affect your performance permanently. You should be able to come out even. What cranks do you have? I might even be able to help.
  13. If you have a Nutribullet or a blender you have to blend it... Yoh it is the good stuff. Also makes a banging smoothie with peanut butter, salt, and cinnamon...
  14. There are quite a few people missing from that list...
  15. For my gf's girls only picnic tomorrow...
  16. What a resurrection! Frozen banana in smoothies is toooo good. Unfortunately all my bananas just went into two banana bread... So no frozen goodness for me
  17. Depends how long my life span will be, but I don't think I qualify as a MAMIL yet
