I have decided that it is probably time to give cleats a go after riding flat pedals on my MTB for a while now. Most of my riding is Northern Farm, Red Barn and Cowhouse to give you an idea of what I ride. So, what pedals and cleats do I need to look at and why?

Thanks all, all those suggestion are within driving distance so we do ride Northern Farm and Red Barn regularly, so was looking for something to do instead of 2 or 3 loops to make up the km's. It seems like Cradle is a good start for that. Just a stupid question, where is the start for Cradle or what do I search for on Waze to get to the correct starting / parking spot?

Thanks, so I currently have 2 led acid batteries in my study which is in the corner of the room not boxed in, so is my understanding correct to rather replace them with gel batteries? And if yes, any specific brand that is recomended as these ones I got from Builders as I just wanted a setup that could run the study for 4 hours at a time during load shedding.

Just a question on the above, if you have batteries (lead acid) charging managed via an inverter could there still be overcharge or is it safe to assume the inverter managing that risk for you?

Before someone gets their nickers in a not, I am not a woman, but purchased 3 bikes over the course of the last 4 months for my wife. Use it dont use it, if she is new to riding - Get a nice woman specific seat, Liv makes great woman specific seats - Consider a dropper post, it made a huge difference in my wife's confidence to be able to drop the seat on a non specific ladies bike that does not have top tube that is lower / curved at the seat tube - Book her some lessons with a good coach - Dont coach her or you might get mangled
