On the wash topic, when do you then lube and which parts do you lube after a wash?

I bought a pair about a month ago, I use them on flat pedals. The one thing that is a bit irritating is the shoe has an almost normal shoe sole pattern although more aggressive, which I find does not always give you a proper centre foot placement on the pins of the flat pedals. This is where I think the likes of the Specialised 2F0 with the very flat sole design will be much better. Using them with cleats I think will be fine.
