    947 Ride Joburg

Um, not quite. SAS timing did this a while ago - the board was 'permanent' and attached to your name. Then, they decided to change the style of the board and many were forced to buy a new board for the 947 mtb ride. Granted, it was only 60 ronts (or 1.5 beer coupons at the mtb event beer tent) but the point is that the previous SAS timing 'permanent' boards are no longer valid. The same timing company is doing both the road and mtb events, so why cant I use my newly acquired permanent mtb board from last weekend? ???? Its a nice simple process using the RFID, but I guess the timing houses need to generate funds somehow
  4. There's a nice little feature on whatsapp where you can block the person. Suggest you do that and also flag it as spam in Truecaller

Expensive way to get a trip around the track then? No worries, intentions are not fouled

I hope they prevent you from entering the track at the gates. Please dont create a scene when those that have entered come past. Not picking fight with you but openly admitting your crap intensions isnt favourable for those that have entered. If you dont like it, stay away. Simple as that.
  7. Where you based exploding1?
  8. Flip your bike over onto the saddle and bars so that you can easily work on the bike in a stable manner. Then shift it into that 2nd last gear before the 46 granny gear. Adjust the b screw until the cage doesnt touch the 46t granny gear anymore. Easy as that. I run mine about 6 to 8mm spacing.

There were lots of medics and support vehicles all over the route, a big thanks to all of them. I can't see why people would live there though as riding that event was like doing an IDT inside a used porta-pottie. In simple terms, it stank. The sewerage flowing into the estate at the top section is a disgrace, especially as we had to cross the sh!t river flowing in. (ok, granted some politicians need to get shot for that not the organisers) Apart from too much single track which created traffic jams and back logs it wasn't too bad. And whom ever put the beer tent by the incoming finish line deserves a case of beer himself. Those chaps having beers were giving each late rider a big welcome home ???????????????? Now to go get my ecoli test done

So a multitude of different winners then? So a VB rider can be faster overall but still not win as he was not in VA batch?

For the uneducated like me, would you give me a laymans run down of how this racing bunch/seeding thing works? I dont get why, if a rider falls off the pace (or has a mechanical) then joins a group behind him, he then gets pulled and relegated. Sure, I get the concept of batching the riders. But surely the fastest recorded race tag will win the entire race, even if that rider started in the 3 or 4th batch? Or am I missing something here Sorry - I'm just a mtb'er
  19. Where do the medals get hung?
  20. There you go - thats why. Thanks for the info #toyotafan
  21. Perhaps figo territory too - the point being that Fiesta's have the same size body with different engine capacities. This is probably why they didnt make a TB for it as most engine sizes were 1lt or less
  22. Might be cheaper to go back to the initial too expensive rear mounted hanger instead https://www.cyclelab.com/product/holdfast-boot-carrier-3-bike-rack?utm_campaign=14831418371&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_content=549264619896&utm_term=&adgroupid=131531196687&gclid=Cj0KCQjwlOmLBhCHARIsAGiJg7n-xi6FE3JAFCsZqJrOSlQXR5X3PHaLoDI7aqZFTU-TIx3eM3WSyK8aAjpjEALw_wcB And, you cab get a happy happy special from CL on their specials thread here too
  23. It's against the law for a car under 1lt to have a tow bar fitted. Maybe this is why it's not a common thing to find for a Fiesta (most are the 3 cylinder 900cc I think) Not that we follow the law in this neck of the woods...
  24. Maybe I'll get my pal to ride his KTM 450 Eduro on the single track to support our mtb mob. Yeah, that'll work
