  1. You won't be sorry!
  2. I don't know hey.... The dude with the gun (or the attacker) is going to come at you with his weapon drawn. He's not going to stand there and demand your stuff while threatening to pull his gun.... You now have to go for your knife and although thankfully I have never been in that situation, my money's still on the dude with the gun.
  3. Agreed. In all likelihood you'll be bringing a knife to a gun fight and that's not going to end well....
  4. I took my sons and a mate of my eldest to movies a few months back (Can't remember what it was but it was 3D) That little outing cost me close to R500 once you factor in the parking, food, glasses and tickets.... I have to agree with you there to a certain degree. Still a bloody rip off though....
  5. Still need to watch it..... Been waiting for a break to start without letting the kids watch....
  6. I thought the same about Homeland S03.... When the main actor is hanging from a crane by his neck you kinds thing that it's over. Guess I was wrong....
  7. I wish I had listened in the beginning. I was advised to spend on a grinder. I chose to skimp on a grinder (bought a Krupps burr) and bought a Delonghi Icona manual machine as well. Coffee is fine (I still reckon I make a better cup than some coffee shops...) but in hindsight I should have spent it all on a grinder and bought an Aeropress. (I did end up buying an Aeropress and use that more than my machine at tge moment. Just over 700 cups on the Aeropress so far) Spend the money on a good grinder and get an Aeropress. If that's too much hassle then get a Nespresso.
  8. Beer related just in case anybody in the KZN area might be interested....
  9. Where did you get those? I heard that they are available from the Shongweni Farmer's Market and from Village Mall Tops. Waiting patiently for payday....
  10. I bought an Aeropress a while ago to use at work. (I have a Delonghi Icona at home but wanted nice coffee at work as well) My Aeropress is now at home and I use it every day instead of my Delonghi. I find that even using the same beans (Single origin from my local roaster) I get different flavour profile from each "machine" I realise that the Delonghi is a long way from a top of the line machine, but I prefer the flavour from the Aeropress. I currently have my grinder set up for the Aeropress. Coffee is made using ground coffee up to the first mark in the Aeropress (Plunger about 10-15mm into the tube), water up to the third mark. Steep time is 45 seconds. 10-15 second press. Equal parts coffee, hot water and a dash of milk with 1 sugar is my poison. Espresso shots are timed to 25 seconds from the time the pump starts to run or until the stream starts to blonde but I can't get the same taste.... Maybe you aren't supposed to...?!?
  11. I recently had a terrible coffee experience.... Colleague of mine just started drinking decent coffee (well all the signs pointed in that direction anyway). A Nescafe convert! He bought a hand grinder and a moka pot and said he'd make me a cup. I went around to his workshop and prepared myself for a taste experience. It all started out great. I offered to grind the coffee and then I saw it. The roast date on the packet.... 22nd May 2013..... But that's not all..... "How do you like your milk?" I said fresh for me thanks! He laughed and put it in the microwave. We chatted and he forgot about the milk...... Not the best cuo I must admit but at the end of the day a shyte cup of ground coffe beats a good cup of Ricoffee any day!
  12. Remember.... pics or it never happened
  13. Do it Quincy
  14. In theory.... Do a Google search for KTM 525 EXC Adventure and have a look. Lots of ideas out there! Check if it has an Enatis registration. If not, swing by the licensing dept and see what's involved Might not be worth the hassle. What year is it?
  15. At that price it seems like a good deal. If you get tired of throwing it around the bush as an Enduro bike, they also make a nice Adventure bike (Assuming that it has a lighting coil on it with it being an EXC... and you'll need to get it licensed of course!)
  16. Got to sample all my Notties brews this weekend and I must say that I REALLY enjoyed the Porter I think that could be my new favourite. Still need to get through to the Farmer's market and test drive that Robson's......
  17. Sorry if this is a downer or if it's been posted before but regardless of his past etc, this watered up my eyes a bit..... Might have been the pollen in the air as well.......
  18. Proper knobblies only come in 21" so he looks good to go
  19. Check out the Village Vineyard as well for the Notties brew.
  20. Had two on the weekend! Not bad actually. Both went down like a homesick mole
  21. Not yet. Might need to get to the Farmer's Market soon.....
  22. Surprised nobody mentioned them already (unless I missed it...) Was there last weekend and bought myself a variety 8 pack (2 off each of their flavours) Whistling Weasel Pale Ale, Tiddly Toad Lager, Pye-Eyed Possum Pilsener and the Pickled Pig Porter. I did a bit of gardening on Sunday and smashed two Whistling Weasel's after a nice cool shower. Got the Lager and the Pilsener lined up for the weekend Notties is still my favourite local beer. Hansa if it's not available and perhaps a Kilkenny on payday.
  23. You just can't wait to buy something from rouxtjie...
  24. Wouldn't have been an issue if it was the Nigerian Women's Cycling team....
  25. Yes they are
