  1. Great website... maybe a link/explanation to permits required and how they work?
  2. Sorry if this has been posted before but does your seeding remain the same over all three days or are they reseeded after each day?
  3. This is a long shot but I have three XXL tops and looking to swap for XXXL?
  4. Where can I find Slimepro in Cape Town?
  5. The link on competitivecyclist.com didn't work for me. So here is the next best link... http://www.bikeforums.net/road-cycling/197736-bicycle-fit-philosophies-competitive-vs-eddy-vs-french.html
  6. You need to be very sure you can make it fit you. I think most post agree that it's going to be a little too small. Don't worry too much about your inseam. It can be easily adjusted by the seat post. You are most probably going to end up with a very aggressive position (ie bars much lower than you seat) If you are ok with that (dont have back and neck problem) then you could make it work. A lot of pro's that don't have access to custom geometries do this, and put a very long stem on.
  7. We were riding through Kalk Bay, just before you drop down into Fish Hoek, at about 05:30 on Sunday morning. There were a bunch of guys loitering in a driveway on the left. One individual, as I was passing by, ran out onto the pavement and stopped just as suddenly. Not sure if he was trying to push me off or just scare me or it was totally unrelated to us riding past. Did/Has anyone else had a similar experience in that area. Just trying to gauge the situation.
  8. Surely if you know you are going to limit the supply of a sponsored beverage at the end of a ride, offering water as an option would be a good one. Having register a temp of 31 at the end of the ride is this unreasonable?
  9. I rode the 49 with my fiancee, her first "fun" ride. I though it would be good to ride within a controlled traffic environment. We did it very slowly and finished at about 11:15, so prob only represent 10% of the field, maybe less. Website cut-off says 12:00 but approaching the False Bay Rugby Club we had to pass through three set of traffic lights, none of which had any presence of traffic control. The final lights we dismounted and crossed on foot. Surely if you state that cut off is 12:00 and every one pays the same fee, all riders need to be provided with the same level of safety? Then having Coca-Cola only allow every rider 120 ml was the cherry on the top. All this for R135. Definitely wont be doing it next year.
  10. PM sent
  11. Has anyone converted their OD2 headset to a standard 1-1/18 top cup. Looking to install a Chris King Inset 2. Any experiences/advice?
  12. http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/3oGYIBJdGjc/maxresdefault.jpg 1920's to 2010's... Words couldn't do any better!
  13. Hi, I think my Dad managed to leave his Garmin Edge 500 behind at the Tokai Arboretum parking lot yesterday morning (Sunday 3 Nov). If anyone know anything please can you pm me. Thanks Duncan
  14. Just a query about the route. What are the surfaces like? Mainly gravel roads? Would you get away with CX tyres?
  15. What map set are they? SA Streetmaps 2008,9?
  16. Ok so by my own admission i know nothing about the team or the corporation (Rabobank) but does no one else think this might just have been a very opportune moment for Rabobank to exit the sport of cycling? The teams doesn't have a particularly dirty past does it? What would the general public think if they had just ended their sponsorship at the end of a regular season after all these years? Is this an easy way they can step out, and no look bad? Apologies if this thought has been posted before.
  17. Also try bikeinn.com
  18. Hopefully no Boyes Drive next year, so will be a bit easier than this years tour!
  19. Anyone brought in a Nicolai? Any suggestions on the easiest way to get your hands on one?
  20. Assume no one has every seen a Bosch Prep parent parked in Campground Road?
  21. Think you might have things a little mixed up... The PC Pod/Movestick (think its the same thing) can be used as a usb receiver for the HRM belt. So if you are on your indoor trainer you aren't using your watch. Info comes strait from your belt to your PC via the usb. Do you have the USB Movestick for the MovesCount? Not sure if there is a way to display info from watch to PC in realtime.
  22. Check your mail. Firstbeat should work for you, but to be sure you can download a trial version that i think last for two weeks.
  23. It is possible with Suunto Monitor software, PC Pod/Movestick and HRM. Not sure if the software is it's still downloadable or discontinued. Also if i remember correctly that the drivers for the usb stick was a bit difficult. If you seriously into it there are a couple of other options software wise. Firstbeat Athlete is highly advanced although it is not free software.
  24. Sorry meant EA90... corrected.
