  1. Ha ha. Let me add mine. Look 695sr with SRAM red and Darkhorse 50mm clinchers, 6.62kg with pedals. Just under 7k/kg for what I spent bought 2nd hand (except the wheels -new).
  2. Seems like Linden Cycles are your guys!
  3. 04h30 to 7am rides 3 or 4 times during the week. Riding with a group makes it easier. Must say winter is tough to get out the front door! Enter the Jock for some added winter motivation.
  4. There's certainly something there for everyone. Green, blue and black sections well marked. Some of the black stuff is quite technical. Even a "broken ribs" jump section! Loads of single track!
  5. Same here. WTF??
  6. Cool bike stand that!
  7. Couldn't have said it better. Carbon Flash 29er FTW
  8. Yuup! Can also vouch for Tombeej - he knows great road routes too. Time to start that bike tours buisiness Tom
  9. I thought the fact that he donated $125000 to the UCI was extremely dodgy. First time I've heard that and he admitted it. Donations to the body that controls and tests you - very suspect. Shame on LA and the UCI.
  10. Amen to that! We had 2 DOA's at my practice last week due to feeding of bones.
  11. Thanks Kingalton, will give it a bash (klap?) this weekend.
  12. saw this on advendurance web site. Alternative/cut-off route for 106km marathon riders: 1hour 30minutes after the first rider starts the steep rocky climb on the rhino farm (15kms before the half-way mark), riders will be forced to ride the easier, more scenic but longer alternative route. All riders arriving within the 1hour30 minute time will be forced to cross the mountain
  13. Agree 100% Excellent idea on adding Klapperkop to the route!!
  14. Corner of Jean Ave and Lenchen (east of Supersport Park)
  15. The gloss black looks very nice on that frame.
  16. Ok, so "note to self", when you guys describe a route as 'rocky' you really mean it!
  17. Yikes! was that rock garden farm part of the actual route??
  18. Great event! My first multi-day event and really enjoyed it. Although they were tired, the legs seemed to improve from day 2 on. Agree with mr HED about the roads - just great, even with the potholes. How sweet is that descent after the Long tom climb? Must say, respect to all who finished but especially the masters and grand masters on the podium - seriously hard-core old men those!
  19. Finished my 1st one!! What a great event! Tough riding but awesome scenery and well organised. Will definitely be there next year.
  20. For me, Nibali attacking 20km from the end and Boonen going 50km from the end is much more exciting than a bunch sprint finish!
  21. Yip, I'm in. Starting to get a touch of nerves about all that climbing but should be ok - my partner and I have been putting in the miles over the last few months - hope it pays off!
  22. Yeah let's keep it as awesome as it was way back on page 2. 22,222 posts Location/b/ Posted 29 April 2011 - 09:09 LeTurbo, on 29 April 2011 - 09:07 , said: er! er! er! er! er! er! er! er! er! (etc!) http://casualdater.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/012.jpg?w=614
  23. Is there an 'up' ride this year??
