  1. Corner of Jean Ave and Lenchen (east of Supersport Park)
  2. The gloss black looks very nice on that frame.
  3. Ok, so "note to self", when you guys describe a route as 'rocky' you really mean it!
  4. Yikes! was that rock garden farm part of the actual route??
  5. Great event! My first multi-day event and really enjoyed it. Although they were tired, the legs seemed to improve from day 2 on. Agree with mr HED about the roads - just great, even with the potholes. How sweet is that descent after the Long tom climb? Must say, respect to all who finished but especially the masters and grand masters on the podium - seriously hard-core old men those!
  6. Finished my 1st one!! What a great event! Tough riding but awesome scenery and well organised. Will definitely be there next year.
  7. For me, Nibali attacking 20km from the end and Boonen going 50km from the end is much more exciting than a bunch sprint finish!
  8. Yip, I'm in. Starting to get a touch of nerves about all that climbing but should be ok - my partner and I have been putting in the miles over the last few months - hope it pays off!
  9. Yeah let's keep it as awesome as it was way back on page 2. 22,222 posts Location/b/ Posted 29 April 2011 - 09:09 LeTurbo, on 29 April 2011 - 09:07 , said: er! er! er! er! er! er! er! er! er! (etc!) http://casualdater.files.wordpress.com/2009/04/012.jpg?w=614
  10. Is there an 'up' ride this year??
  11. Forrk, how did you even get into those???
  12. For those in PTA or Centurion, there are 2 of us (so far) doing 6 to 7 hour ride on Friday, +- 30kph. Doing Hekpoort via Harties. Leaving Centurion early at 04h30.
  13. Are the prices still good after paying import duties on clothing??
  14. Back in the day (90's) when I was a runner our coach made us do plyometric exercises before each track session. IMHO - think they are very good for strength, co-ordination and injury prevention.
  15. Eeerm, sorry to be pedantic but a horse is not a ruminant, it has no rumen, actually has a 'simple' stomach with huge mother of a colon I do however think the type of animal is besides the point - plastic/wrappers/bottles can potentially do harm to any animal.
  16. Getting these for my road bike this week - Fulcrum Racing Zero's http://s.wiggle.co.uk/images/fulcrum-dark-label-med.jpg?w=350&h=350&a=7
  17. taken from Klapperkop? nice view from there, also early in the a.m.
  18. Yikes, big cahonies!! those okes. Not even a helmet for protection, especially for the backflips.
  19. I did see somewhere that you can try attaching the magnet to your brake rotor and then the sensor below the boot on the the Lefty, have not tried it yet myself.
  20. RIP Merv, and condolences to his family. Very sad!!
  21. Doping discussions/speculation always seem to centre around the road pro's, obviously with good reason. Was just wondering if it is the same story amongst the MTB pro's??? Or is MTB a 'clean' sport???
  22. Good add for those Dura-Ace wheels. Just wish I had a tenth of their skills. Makes me feel a bit better to see that at least they do fall sometimes.
  23. Ordered a few odds and ends from CWC on Friday, including a 450ml bottle of Stan's. Got my package this morning - free delivery - with a note saying they are out of stock of the 450ml but sent a 950ml instead for NADA ! Great service guys - thanks, you are really great local competition for CRC.
  24. So where do you get the seeds?
