  1. Yep. We figured the same, thats why we jumped on the waiting list. At 75k its simply too expensive. Great car, but not worth that money.
  2. We cancelled the order on the Model 3. Its just a stupid amount of money. The rav is 60% of the price even with the top specced hybrid model. I traded in the 3.5l v6 highlander for the Rav and will keep the little leaf for a run around - Will probably drive that car until its totally dead.
  3. no anti magpie cable ties?
  4. Took delivery of this after a 7 month wait. Had it since Sunday and am rather impressed. Toyota RAV4 limited Hybrid.
  5. Culleys is a local Kiwi company, but they ship worldwide.
  6. i have an app I use for identifying plants that has a 75% probability that this is capsicum chinense or a bonnet pepper. Could be a varietal of a habanero/scotch bonnet. Looks nice and healthy.
  7. which ones are fruiting? I tried to grow here but the climate is a little too cool.
  8. its pretty good. It’s base is fire roasted tomatoes and habanero. So it’s quite complex. Can you get it in RSA? If not, I can get a bottle to you when someone heads back! Just pm me an address. My treat!
  9. I quite enjoy watching Hot Ones on YouTube as well.
  10. i haven’t started with fermenting yet, but I do love making roasted fruit based sauces. I particularly like pineapple and habanero with a little reaper mixed in. Gave some to my Indian neighbour and he told me that white people are crazy. [emoji23]
  11. nope. You develop a tolerance for the heat over time and really can pick up quite a lot of flavours. I am not a fan of burning sauces that just burn you for the sake of burning. They have to have serious flavour behind them. This is without a doubt one of the worst I have eaten. It’s just savage and has no flavour at all. https://hotsaucedepot.com/da-bomb-beyond-insanity-4.html
  12. And one of the hottest I have had.
  13. One of my culinary passions is trying out different hot sauces. Here are some of the latest sauces.
  14. I work with a lady who lives in Whangarei. She commutes twice a week. her husband runs a big Avo farm there (that tells you the weather is quite good) Its a cool town. Its far away enough from Auckland to be separated from Auckland's troubles (traffic, rental issues etc) but close enough that you can still enjoy the perks of the big city (concerts, international airport etc) Its a good mix. Plus its plenty pretty and has access to some amazing spots.
  15. Suggestion for elbow and knee guards for kids... When my kids were learning, I tried all the skate/bike elbow guards but they were all rubbish. Too stiff and fell off. I then used some boxing wraps. basically long pieces of tough fabric that you wrap your hands with before putting them in your boxing gloves. They stay on, provide plenty protection fro grazes and scrapes and are washable and cheap as all hell. The only perceivable downside is that they probably wont stop a broken bone. So I would not use them for proper trail riding, but I figure by the time the kids are ready for that sort of thing, they probably wont need such serious protection and thats a bridge I havent needed to cross yet.
  16. Absolutely. Blindly following any eating plan without understanding the risks or doing the research is a fools game.
  17. Woodhill this weekend actually sounds pretty cool. Might take the kids and do a super chilled family ride out there if the weather is chill.
  18. I have just seen a news article about people surfing on Lake Taupo. The strong winds have actually created surfable (is that a word) waves.
  19. Is anyone else struggling with this years summer being so miserable and feeling like it just hasnt gotten started?
  20. ha ha ha. I struggle with quite a lot of the fake meats. Sometimes think it’s trying too hard. Veggies are absolutely amazing on there own, I don’t see much point in trying to mimic and force them to be something they are not. (My opinion) Now a curried vegetable korma vegan pie on the other hand would be amazing.
  21. i respectfully disagree. This article makes no reference to needing animal based foods, it simply suggests being mindful of b12 deficiency. Which completely corroborates what I have been saying. All diets and food choices need to be mindful of nutrient diversity and density. If you only eat one thing all the time, you are going to struggle. B12 deficiency is a real thing and the point I was trying to make is its is slowly becoming an issue for animal product consumers as well. I hope this doesn’t come across as argumentative, I am grateful to have a good discussion about this.
