I live in Durban and we do a ton of climbing down here. I will test the bike over a few weeks and see if I need a ratio change.

Busy building my first SS, this thread has been my inspiration. I used to ride a 2x10 On One Scandal but sold it to buy my Anthem X Advanced. I regret the day. I have just bought an old Merida 29er hardtail frame and am building her up into a single speed, I will post pics once she is done. Chainworx in Durban North are helping me build my project. I am running 32x18, am a little concerned that I am not strong enough but we will see.

who cares about what another person rides or how effectively they can ride it? Why not be happy for someone if they are riding an S Works or for that means a Makro special? I think that some of us have forgotten that we are in this sport because we love it...

Get an On One Scandal 29er.... Scandium frame and amazing geometry

Hi All I ride an On One Scandal 29er. I currently have a Rockshox Recon Gold on the bike but want to upgrade the fork to something more plush and a little lighter. The Recon Gold is not very smooth and it is heavy. I mainly do 40 - 45km rides off road. I do not jump the bike. What would you recommend?

@ Ryan: I have done exactly the same thing to my On One Scandal 29. In November/December I stripped the paint off of the frame, I brushed the bare frame and then I had clear powder coat put onto the frame to protect it. I am running 1x10 and it is epic. The matt silver frame gets a ton of attention! Great work dude!

I just transferred my 10 speed SLX crank onto my Anthem X which is a 9 speed and it is working perfectly... the only thing that I changed on the bike was the crank. My 9 speed crank has been swopped onto my 10 speed 29er and it is working just fine... All Shimano products

I am busy modding and customising an On One Scandal 29er. Am sadly going 30 speed though. Bought the frame second hand, it was British racing green in colour and had a few dings. I have acid dipped it, brushed it for some texture and have clear coated it... it looks amazing! Am busy finishing up the build and will post pics when ready.

Then I am blessed... I smash my Anthem X through everything and anything and she just accepts it.... Have seen other frames crack etc but not mine. I am a huge fan. Although, I am currently building an On One Scandal Frame up, such amazing welds and handy work...

SLX brake sets are selling for R2300 without rotors... that is for the 675's. I really want them but that just seems a little steep for my pocket.

Crisis so no one knows what it is but one of you got it caught in your chain and another one of you is holding it... sounds like the start to a bad joke. In KZN we have an issue with Black Mambas, we ride in a lot of sugar cane and well, we are not really that welcome in the cane. There have already been a few incidents this year.

Maybe Vettel was just trying to have a little fun?
