Lekker event ! Only did 13 laps so maybe 70km. If I do that in a marathon I'm tired but this has really tired me out. Must be the drinks while waiting for my chance ;-)

Saw orienteering boards at groenkloof in recent months as well. Tried an event yonks ago, I can't read a paper map :-( but plenty fun :-)

Route last year was closer to the Sunday ride than a double black route at Van Gaalen, luckily so cause we started running out if light and energy so a technical rock garden would've been problematic !

I'm not sure where it happened but if it was at the 25km mark he is very lucky. It was a 2 lap event for the 50km so then he fell very close to the finish line with all the medics.

I take it that a ratchet at a the top,of the shoe is a given? And then depending on your budget you get as stiff a sole as possible? Need to replace my Mr Price Sports shoes ...

Started AM as well, 2:23 for me and 3:04 for the MTB. Good fun :-)

Realised now that my bike doesn't have a Racetec chip on. Bought it for last year's 2 Lost City events and left it on the bike. Not sure when I lost it :-( In any case, do you know if I will be able to buy another one during number collection at Cyclelab tomorrow or maybe at the venue Saturday before the event?

Pic of the route on the website. On the hotel side the 30 is same as 25 except for 2 extra hills. On other side of tar is just a short stretch. Then repeat :-(

If I recall the flak Kallis took about his scoring rate I'm surprised Faf doesn't get more criticism. At least Kallis could bowl as well :-)

I've been reading the instructions like my backside, only saw no that the MTB is 2 loops rather than a larger single loop. Not my preference but at least now we can do the 2 hills twice (I might have to take my walking shoes along)

Didn't watch a lot yesterday due to their power issues but less than 200 in the 80 overs must have been excellent bowling or very very dull batting

And in other news ... It sure I like Mighty # batting @4, either open or at first drop please
