Sorry Guys but I had a day from hell!!! Load shedding in Westlake from 8.10 until almost 11pm we then couldn't get the Internet to work, left for the airport which was a mission on it's own the +/- 18km trip took me well over an hour, got back to the office, still down waiting for the IT guys to arrive, decided to come home and work, just set up and bang load shedding..... SPOT ON SNAH2Well done you have obviously cycled this pass, Hubby showed me the profile the night before our DC training ride and that was me.... had serious tummy ache, headache of note, feeling sick and everything else I could think off After seeing Windbreakers face 1/2 up the pass I was extremely happy I was supposed to be sick. Snah2 where do you stay to your chocolate cake can be delivered For the Cape Town cyclist, this is one awesome pass every cyclist must do

The best advice I can offer is take up walking..... that kept up my fitness while off the bike for a while "Not that I was every fit". The best part is you can walk and eat a slab of chocolate at the same time.

Hagar, Gary and a couple of mad people were cycling from Cape Town to Langebaan in Dec so I decided I would take the car to Langebaan park the car and cycle and meet them. I was instructed to cycle through the reserve which it took my 1/2 an hour to find with some SERIOUS up hills in between. Eventually found the reserve cycling away minding my own business thinking to myself if something goes wrong with my bike I am stuffed as I had been cycling for almost an hour and NOBODY came passed me, all of a sudden I heard this strange noise looked behind me and this ostrich was on a mission of his/her own..... I cycled to the other side of the road and if followed me making these strange noises..... So here I was cycling as fast as I could with this freaking bird chasing me and me screaming for it to F off..... It chased me for about 5 or so minutes but believe me if felt like 6 hours. It eventually decided I wasn't his play mate and ran off. I rode for another 10 minutes or so before I met up with the group. We looked for the Ostrich on the way back but nothing NOW everyone thinks it's one of THOSE stories

SO Hagar how was the ride today???? Weather is horrid in CT today wind is blowing JUST for a change. So no riding for me, the last time I rode in the wind we went over chappies, the wind was so bad I was blown straight across the road, if it wasn't for Alex and Oil Trash I would have been blown into the sea........ I shat myself eventually got to the bottom and hubby was waiting for us with a look of concern on his face(Yeah right, he was) Due to this me and wind are no longer friends

I saw the the Absa Balloon in the back ground and thought you had taken up ballooning..... Man I once went in a hot air balloon and will never do it again. I spent the entire trip lying flat on the basket floor I was so scared
