  1. Arent they silicon? Yeah I guess your points are all valid. Will try them out one of these days. Also worried about about no lock on - I don't trust no damn hairspray.
  2. Ok I have the Rogues, I think they must be like 2yrs old. All the other grips I had lasted max 6mths. Just thought I would try something else because these have become very 'sticky' - apparently happens with age. Was there looking for options for my moms crutches, bought these and road bike tape to try out - the tape worked. After reading all the comments on here about how amazing these are I bought them. Why won't you ever use these ESI grips again?
  3. Bought these over the weekend in PE, how do these compare to the ODI lock ons?
  4. Do you guys mind uploading?
  5. I need to start training proper for this next year. My heart rate was staying around 160-170 from the start, not sure exactly what that meant for me but after the actual monster I decided that 5hrs of that would probably do more harm than good. Not sure if it was the altitude or my asthma acting up. Could be both. Having people behind you down the hills over all those rocks made me do stuff I would never do if I was riding solo. I was waiting for something to snap on my bike, the noises coming from down there were insane. Definitely keen to try to kill this one next year. And yes, you SS guys are cray.
  6. I gave up at the 41km mark. Couldn't breathe. Was wheezing all the way. Managed to get KOM on the back of the Bakkie though. ???? Need to train more for next year. Damn it was tough. Guess I shouldn't have left my htfu bangle ay home today.
  7. Good luck chaps. On my way.
  8. Lets do dis
  9. Not really one for buying Chinese things but I was there to get a Park Tool Stand, he showed me the Ryder one, and it seems to be a decent quality product, very sturdy as well. And I think its a 1/3 the price of the Park Tool equivalent. It folds neatly too, very much like a Video Camera tripod. Can't find any info online though.
  10. Its a Ryder what what, got it for R1100 from Solomons. I think they showcased it in the last Bicycling mag.
  11. Bought a Pump and Repair stand.
  12. Im riding with the guys at the back
  13. You showed me what 6 and 7% was this past weekend, this is 8% mostly for almost 10km. Think I will be carrying my full 3l of fluids - and then fill with beer if available.
  14. Nevaaaaaaaaa!!!! You better put a handle on your seat so I can be pulled up the hill.
  15. What flats? Looks like a b***h of an uphill then a crazy downhill - was told I would be sitting for the 1st 40km and standing most of the rest of the way. Oh well. Have to do it. But I'm not wearing that stupid HTFU bracelet.
  16. I must be running the std ones then. Oh well.
  17. Have had the same issue with mine - Conti X-King Protection, but theres a video online that shows you that you need to 'paint' the inside of the tyre with sealant before installing. I did that and rode over 90kms this weekend, still holding pressure. Also missing one knobbly. But really like this tyre and the also way it performs. One other thing, been using Stans but got a bottle of some bontrager sealant which I used now. Just saying maybe time to try some other sealant. Theres plenty to choose from now.
  18. Look at it this way, its like a new year all over again.
  19. Someone didn't backup...
  20. Love your work. Awesome build guys
  21. Thanks guys, Merry Xmas for yesterday.
  22. Rubbing compound and flatting paper sorts out most dings. Unfortunately its impossible to keep it mint forever... But so far so good. Gunmetal Vinyl is a bit hard to get hold of so I opted for matte black - its a bit subdued but I don't mind it. Thanks for the all the comments guys.
