  1. Early morning lap around RietVlei on Sunday morning.
  2. Bar was awesome, actually the ride was awesome too, Mr B pushed us but didn't try kill us. The rigid fork takes a little getting used to and having to pick the lines more carefully is fun in the dark but all in all I'm quite chuffed to have the GT back as option to ride, still one of the more comfortable HTs I've ridden. Still need to weigh it but if my squishy bike is 10kg then i reckon this is close to 9kg. Will post a decent pic once i can get out in the sun on the weekend.
  3. Yup, you appear to be correct Sir, we went through that section in reverse last night and it was no longer in the way.
  4. A Rigid one at that.... Too many "what ifs" in this game, was good to watch though.
  5. Ahhh, fridays... #beerday
  6. bwhahahaha, sorry Sir, please continue. #justtrolling
  7. Was there not a dedicated .gif thread? #Justasking.
  8. GIMP'ed?
  9. Starting to look more like what i had pictured, still needs a few coats of clear this weekend. Picked up some new hoops from Kiwi today and cranks from Astro, weather and children dependent it will be done early next week.
  10. That came out really nice, now you just need to convince him to buy you one to do. Don't think my paint spraying talents extend to that level though.
  11. After an epic failure on Saturday with the first coat, i decided to strip it back give it another attempt on Sunday which turned out much more successful. Not sure if it was the air pressure or if there was just too much moisture in the air on Sat but all the ingredients were mixed the same for Sundays attempt. The white will only be the base coat for the metallic + pearl orange which will hopefully go on this afternoon.
  12. And here i thought you were quite a nice guy....
  13. On a different note, my SS (GT) is primed and ready for its first coat of real paint tomorrow, going to visit Kiwi later for some 650B rims. Painting going to take a while though, got 6 more stages to go through.
  14. and NOT break your legs....
  15. I have a secret BSA project on the brew, hope one day when its complete it will be worthy of being posted in a thread like this.
  16. Thought of Tumbles when i saw this http://www.instructables.com/id/Bicycle-Seat-Post-Skateboard-Rack/
  17. Going soon, hope it lives up to its reputation
  18. Can we get the slightly higher res version please... (Insert sarcastic smiley here) Stunning shot as usual,
  19. Yup, at the practice, no generator there, the landlord's not to keen to put one in. Basically just need the power the Audiometer for 80 mins in total (3-4 x 20 minute tests) during each 'shed, she would turn it off when there are no patients. The PC would be nice cause then she would have the option to fit H/As during this time as well, but to keep a PC running for any decent time i would need probably 2 deep cycle 105ah batteries.
  20. Thinking out loud... Then one would not really need to spend the extra ZARs on a PSW inverter, a MSW would work fine as the power is then "filtered" (very loose term I'm sure) by the UPS. She gave me a budget of around R5k to come up with something suitable, would have been easy with consumer grade electronics, but on the medical side I'm a little hesitant.
  21. Mmmm, good point, Inverter for the "deep cycle" longevity filtered through a smallish UPS into the audiometer. Patient reports etc can be sent through after a few hours anyway so the PC is not to serious, its just the idle time when she could be testing.
  22. Got a noisy (In a ventilated semi sound isolating area) 6.5Kva gen "plumbed" into my house with a manual changeover switch in the box outside, all my globes in the house are LED so lighting is very light weight, fridge uses an inverter compressor so i assume its fairly light as well. The only time i really hear the gennie rev up is when turning on the pool pump and geyser, but it still runs them fine if needed. I'm searching for a different solution however to run some medical testing equipment, the kit my wife uses costs 10k a pop to have calibrated, thus a cheap MSW inverter probably wont cut it. I'm assuming that a Pure Sine Wave inverter will be "safe" as I don't believe the power we get from Eskom to be that clean anyway. Waiting for the calibration guys to get back to me though.
  23. Agreed, still better than Frisco, or that Nescafe instant rubbish. Will make a plan some day to take you up on the offer of a decent brew.
  24. Could work by interfacing a Nespresso and a Arduino, guess i have a new project for this weekend.
