  1. Really, 70s curtains and roof racks???
  2. Are those part of a new range i missed?
  3. I'm too cheap to buy a Porlex, doubt this being my price range, awesome piece of kit though.
  4. Dallas ds18b20 on a micro Arduino, LED flashes fast from 85 up, between 81-85 it slows down, stays on from 81-79 and then really slow under 79 deg. Will put it into a sealed enclosure of sorts sometime...not quite IoT but that may be the next step - log the coffee temps to a DB...
  5. Happy to bring back for you if you need that extra "kick",
  6. been messing with the Aero this weekend, bought some mug and bean stuff, not fantastic but cheap enough to chuck out when it goes wrong. Had to build a thermometer as well quick so i can tell when its at the magic 80deg.
  7. You sponsoring a Porlex?? ;-) 100% agree, bought it mainly for the trip to the UK but will probably use it in the office since they started putting ciro beans in the machines on our floors. Undecided if i take some to the Nerd to grind for me and take with or to find beans locally, waiting for accommodation confirmation so i can check whats local in the area there.
  8. Just received my Aeropress, initially plan to buy pre-ground beans (Read: Beg the nerd to grind me some every now and then...), however, just wanted to put it out there if anyone has a spare manual burr grinder they are willing to part with for a reasonable cost, please let me know.
  9. Sorry officer, I was reading an e-mail while cruising through the red light...
  10. Will have to start keeping an eye out, want to augment my Nespresso machine for when i feel adventurous and do it manually.
  11. and the 810 if you want to watch supersport on the big screen while you ride.
  12. He should have been wearing these...
  13. In my mind at least that's how i try to do things, on thehub and in business, if I've accepted a lower price for something its a different story than not hearing from buyer #1 at all, accepting it means there has been some form of communication and commitment from my side. Only if Buyer #1 gives me the run around and drops the ball will I revert to buyer #2, and then I will give him the same deal as #1.
  14. No, If i advertised something for X (I am prepared to accept X for the item in its current condition) and i get a second person that whats it for Y, my answer would be simply. "Thanks for your offer but i have another interested party, however if that party does not respond by ABC date then I will call you and give you the option". This is not e-b@y, if you want to see how much money you can get for an item list it on bid-or-buy. Edit: Grammar / spelling
  15. And last note, as a seller I'm not sugar coating the condition of the item, I'll be honest on its condition and if i'm way off the mark on the price, let me know and I may re-look at it, else accept it and move on.
  16. My take on it is simple. As a buyer: If i say I'll take it, then it means I'm happy to pay the price you have listed, send me your bank details and I'll pay as soon as possible (typically communicated via PM as well)If i say "Dibs" (Unlikely but who knows) - Means its a bargain and I want my post to show as fast as possible - Typically followed by a PM / phone call if the ad lists your numberIf i say "PM Sent" - Then I'm asking a question or possibly haggling, generally where the ad states "neg" on the priceI'll provide a rating after completing the transaction, please do the same As a seller I will always give the guy that responds first the benefit of the doubt, until they tell me they don't want it or i don't hear from you in a few daysIt's not ethical in my mind to try get another R100 from someone by being dodgy, I will list the item at a price i'm willing to take for it, finishedI don't mind anyone asking if its negotiable - no offence taken, if i feel its going to a good home i might just send it to you for nothing.I don't respond to anything that says "Send me a PM", if you cant initiate the conversation I'll wait for someone that will.I'm not selling something to put bread on the table, it's going either because it deserves a better home or its in my wayI'll provide a rating after completing the transaction, please do the sameI use my discretion with the rouxtije rule, i recently sold an item to a guy 500kms away with 1 post (i think) and it turns out that that he is mates with someone I know down there and is a good oke.
  17. I want SCAR!!!! Always wanted a boxer, grew up with them and love them to bits. Currently have a Cross Labbie / chow (SPCA rescue) thats around 10yo and a pure bread Spaniel about 2yo now.

  19. Depending where in the UK it was delivered I'm sure i could get it here sooner. I have colleagues that travel up and down often, my boss should be coming here in July too.
  20. Apple TV + Unotelly - end van prent... Also, do you have any "non technical" family that still have DSTV Premium? If you do then ask them to let you link your ipad / Drifta / iphone / Android device to their account, costs them nothing anyway, then you can use the supersport app.
  21. Clearly you had more than honey in your oats this morning.
